I don't know if this may help you...I've just contacted Sky to see if there was any update. I also told them that we had so far had to use 25gb of data only to be told that, due to ofcom regulations, they can't refund that data!
Thanks, I'll take a look.I don't know if this may help you...

Automatic compensation: What you need to know
Our automatic compensation scheme means broadband and landline customers will get money back from their provider when things go wrong, without having to ask for it.www.ofcom.org.uk
As someone who often cycled to work and back. on fairly busy roads, I agree that too many cyclists are problematic. There may be cyclists who do things right but so many are just a menace and if they caused an accident would no doubt do a runner and if caught refuse to pay up. I do wish that they could face the same rules and punishments as car drivers.
As someone who often cycled to work and back. on fairly busy roads, I agree that too many cyclists are problematic.
However, the majority are sensible, decent people, just trying to get from A to B as safely as possible.
I very often see cyclists doing stupid and dangerous things. I haven't cycled for years but when I did I (obviously, as an obsessive in many things) did it right. I never weaved through traffic, I never undertook traffic on the inside, I never went through red lights, I never rode on the wrong side of the road and I never as an adult rode on pavements.
Of course there are idiot car drivers too but they stand a much higher chance of facing consequences because they're easier to find and easier to fine and punish. All I'd ask is a level playing field but its never going to happen.
The law generally makes sense, especially on safety issues.I have no problem with people breaking the law (in car or bike) as long as it's done without inconveniencing other road users, as often the laws make no sense.
I suppose I'll get the blame for that?
Your mistake was in assuming she could hear you - in her case, her deafness was self-inflicted, but a deaf person doesn't have that choice.
The law generally makes sense, especially on safety issues.
Those who say it "makes no sense" are those who think obedience to the law is optional. One can only hope they learn the error of their ways before they cause harm to other people.
Not really - this increase in 20mph limits (like the one planned in the next village) are crazy in many cases. There is a corner they have but on the new town they are building with a crossroads. The crossroads won't be open for years yet but they have the lights on even though its currently operating as normal road with a bend in it, but so poorly designed they feel they need to put lights on to alternate traffic. No pedestrian areas there so if I am sat there with no-one else in sight why not go?
I suppose I'll get the blame for that?
I would expect a deaf person to compensate and be much more aware visually.
Reduction in speed limits seems to be very much a thing and often it seems to be for no reason I can see. There are long stretches out of town which used to be NSL and now are not. There are some limits I'd like to see reduced but year after years they remain the same and I do wonder why. For eg there's a high street near me with a 30mph limit and honestly if you tried to do 30mph it'd be irresponsible and dangerous and I do wonder why it hasn't appeared on the council radar and been reduce to 20mph.
That's the trouble - you expect.![]()
Hmmmm! if not in 'licensed' in the planning application I hope the Local Authority have the balls to prosecute them and the restore the hedgerow with (advised by the county WT?) mature native hedgerow plants......that will cost them more the cost of the removal!Persimmon Homes destroying the local hedgerows!
The LA seem to ignore lots of rule breaking by local businesses because it is a tourist area. Grade 2 listed building locally being converted into a "Western Themed" restaurant, with no planning permissions at all, over a period of several years!!! Cars parked on verges, near to entrances and exits, insufficient on site parking. Georgian interior ripped out and replaced with rough, sawn timber internal cladding and corrugated iron ceilings! Outside gardens covered with open woden huts and fencing, together with amplified, loud rock, ska, etc., etc.Hmmmm! if not in 'licensed' in the planning application I hope the Local Authority have the balls to prosecute them and the restore the hedgerow with (advised by the county WT?) mature native hedgerow plants......that will cost them more the cost of the removal!
And some new developments not linking waste water drains to the sewerage system and allowing raw sewage to discharege into rivers - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c704l7xr3eroPersimmon Homes destroying the local hedgerows!
Yes..but they can really be very "trying" ...Cold caller.
I wouldn't mind so much if I hadn't have told the same person just 2 months ago that I didn't want my roof soft washed and coated. Despite the warning notice on our front door and a camera doorbell, he still rang it.
Gotta love a tryer.![]()
The sad truth is that the people who run banks, now, think of branches as an expesive luxury and want the whole thing online, doing away with lots of staff and increasing the loot pouring into the managers' pockets....Ah for the old days when the customer was king!

WAMT - Doing the bank's job for them online, transferring our ISA's, so that they don't move it into a low interest account. Something that I used to do annually, in branch, when we had one!!! (Usually with the manager, coffee and biscuits provided!). Ah for the old days when the customer was king!
How do I pay in my gallon whiskey bottle full of change and cash notes online?Never understood the need for in-branch banking. Everything can be done online now and yes, I think they are an expensive luxury. Most people shouldn't need to visit a bank - pay cheques (if people still use them) online, just do bank transfers for anything. Mortgage, maybe - but my last remortgage with a broker was just over the phone. Businesses are different so a more personal touch may well be needed.
With the evidence of such reckless behaviour as a precursor of the fatal accident, surely a manslaughter conviction with a significant custodial sentence is appropriate???Will probably get a soft sentence - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c75w63epx31o
Now we can all make mistakes, can all misjudge things in the car and accidents happen. But people like this are serious crash waiting to happen and he should be treated the same as if I walked up to someone in the street and punched and killed them
This is all very well if it works but it does not. As a Treasurer of an organisation we changed bank and they made a series of mistakes thus blocking us from our funds for several months. Trying to sort on-line did not work because you are conversing with a computer which does not understand things like "why have you ignored the written instructions. In one case they refused to transfer the contents of our savings account so I contacted the banking Ombudsman who ordered them to get on with it. A few days passed and no change and I managed to get the local branch manager on the telephone and explained that unless he took immediate action, I would go back to the Ombudsman. Would you believe everything was then fixed in a few hours as they realised that they would have received a heavy fine.Never understood the need for in-branch banking. In my opinion, having killed someone on top of his previous offences, the only sensible sentence is life with no chance of release. Twelve years, probably out in six, is madness. With the evidence of such reckless behaviour as a precursor of the fatal accident, surely a manslaughter conviction with a significant custodial sentence is appropriate???

The same thing happened to my Wife's Townswomens Guild. In fact I received over £500 in compensation from across 3 banks over a 5 year period for poor service. Yes I and the various organisations I am with do everything on-line except when things go wrong and thus the bank need to be able to resolve such issues which often needs dealing directly with the customer. In all these cases of problems, the bank was at fault each time though I accept customer scan also make mistakes.

As cyclist with a bell! Now there’s a rarity, good on you.I was out on my bicycle this morning, single track country lane. I'm on the left and up ahead is a walker, on the right side walking away from me.
Ding ding. Ding ding ding. Nothing. Ding ding ding ding. Ding ding. Nothing and I'm getting closer.
Suddenly she looks at something in the field to her right and I now see she has air pods in so maybe cannot hear me.
Ding ding. Nothing. Then she takes step to her left and is now almost in the middle of the lane.
Ding ding ding.
As I ride past her she jumps because I've startled her!
I shout out 'Sorry', but I imagine she didn't hear that either.
I suppose I'll get the blame for that?
