If you’re going to get a cat, you must understand two things:
  1. As far as a cat is concerned, the highest form of entertainment is annoying another cat on purpose.
  2. If you have a good rapport with your cat, you count as another cat.
You can divert much of this behaviour by getting two cats, so that they can annoy each other, but the trade-off is that sometimes they’ll decide to team up on you instead.
 
A cat is like a woman but more unpredictable.

Tori's things to understand about cats apply equally to women (but having 2 women is less advisable than having 2 cats...)

There's nothing wrong with having two women in the house, if one's your wife and the other your daughter.
In which case, Tori's description applies perfectly, as I have good reason to know... :tumbleweed:

It’s not that uncommon to have scissors or shears that can be separated for cleaning, sharpening. Scissor originally just meant a sharp edge, hence two of them is a pair.

So in effect a 'scissor' is a knife, though with a specific profile to provide a cutting action when used with in a hinged pair.
