:lol: It does have IS and it is seriously good. The GX1 has different modes for IS and Focusing, although i haven't used these for panning as yet - sorry. Have another, on the house ;)

The Pano 100-300 is great imo. The shots below are heavily cropped and where taken handheld with my shakey mits!

Has anybody got a lowepro or similar case for their 100-300? I want one that fits the lens only as snug as possible. By my measurements the lens is 14cm x 9cm. I've spotted a case with internal measurements of 13x9, I'm just wondering if it would actually fit? I want something padded and...

Yes, I put it on before using it. Just seems to lock on even with my shaky hands! Knocks the socks off my old Canon 70-300

I think sometimes you get bogged down with lenses and brain washed into thinking i can only take a certain picture with a certain lens. im determined not to let this happen after selling all my canon gear! My plan is to literally just take the GX1 and 14-42 everywhere i go and only take...

On paper yes, but there is definitely a difference in IQ - not massive though, Whether thats worth the extra monies only you can decide.... I personally went for the GX1 for the size. Having something that would fit in my pocket was high on the list of 'wants'. I bought the optional view...

I was trying to think of a good use for them myself. Ive assigned the function buttons and that seems to have covered everything. My only though was, if and when i come to use the viewfinder, you loose the touch screen functions so maybe the dial will come into play then... ?

Love that first pic! That does look a sweet lens! I fancy a 20mm but these also keeps catching my eye.
