I was a Spurs man until I remarried a woman who is "Owls" mad. Had swfc season ticket 25 years now.
They let you down as often as Spurs. Out of the frying pan ....
PS I'm on the border, equidistant to NY stadium and Hillsborough.

Play offs, never nice and a real lottery.
Usually the team who has just missed out struggles after coming so close.
My lot have lost three finals, the last one after being 2-0 up at half time.

I went to Brixton tech and later worked at Brixton telephone exchange. Spent many happy hours on Electric Avenue and the clubs/record shops. The lads tried to teach me the accent. They only did it because I was useless and it gave them a laugh. Very comfortably happy in West Indian company.

I think these days the police and just about every other institution have to take peoples feelings into account.

I haven't tried the accent for years. These days I'd probably be done for cultural appropriation.

We're not running on all cylinders, so not very confident. Last wembley we lost to Hull, they had 1 kick and it was a 30 yd worldie.
We've booked the hotel though.

When I was married to the first "bitch from hell" we lived in Tottenham. Our local was the hub for all the WI domino players in the area. You think Dominoes is a quite game? You see the Caribbean lads play it.:)

Play offs are great when you win, managed it once back when the final was over two legs home and away.
Never know might be up at Hillsborough next season, looking forward to div 1 and a few teams we haven't played for a while.

My local team Middlesbrough play Coventry tomorrow and they'll be playing them again in the Championship play off. I do watch football and I do wish Boro well but I'm not a die hard and I wont be collapsing in a heap if they don't get promoted. May the best teams manage it.

Six sheet maximum is a maximum, not a target! :) The poor machine was crying out in agony! She was putting six sheets in alongside the six that she already had going through!!!

I have never been entirely sure why, but they are never happy when you offer advice for this kind of issue. I find it can lead to further upset and a broken shredder.
 
Our shredder is Mrs Nod's business's so she's welcome to abuse it! Most common abuse is overfilling the bin, at which point it starts trying to eat the shreddings backwards, so I have to spend a while pulling shreds out with pliers!

Yeah. I'm just consolidating some old files off my old PC. I had 2 ext HDD back ups on there and I'm putting it all onto the one, 2TB drive.

All via the joys of USB 2.0.

It's all on my new PC (well, the NAS) too so this will tidy it all up in my head as well as back it up again.

Edited my last post as you posted that.
I have a 1TB SSD on my new PC, that just runs things, with no photos or files on there. I have evrything backed up on a NAS too, so effectively everything will be backed up 4 times at home.
 
WAMT?
Having seedlings outside sunning themselves, then the thunderstorm & hail storm hit.
I got bloody soaked getting them back under cover!
It had to be done, but it still p***ed me off!
 
Could have been worse. You could have been walking round a field hitting yellow spheres with assorted sticks while trying to hide them in small holes when the rain started fairly suddenly. Almost instantly wetted so not worth abandoning the walk - besides, had I done so, it would have been too early for lunch! Got home to sunshine and no sign of rain but 10 minutes later, thunderstorm with MUCH rain (no hail).
At least I didn't have to pick Mrs Nod's bike up - PDI mechanic off sick today but the bike's first on the list tomorrow.

Think yourself lucky. I was having one of those games that had me praying for rain, lightening, tsunami, plague of locusts, anything to get me off the course. :(
 
Luckily, we play 90+% for the exercise and craic with scores being very much a secondary consideration! Even the low teens handicappers tend not to log in to register their scores when playing with us and just enjoy the banter.

Oh, the yellow sphereS was deliberate - it's a rare round that gets finished with the same sphere that got swung at first! (Hell, a narrow first fairway bordered by a field and the driving range makes finishing the first HOLE with the same ball a challenge!!! Plenty of other people's losings to be picked up (an elderly membership means searching isn't too thorough!)

I phoned the police the other day after being threatened by a car wash employee further down the road. I just wanted them to have a word and calm him down as I don't want agro from Mr Angry every time I pass this twerp on the street. Anyway. Today I got a text message saying that the incident was now closed. Well, what did they do? Nothing I expect.

I know like everyone else the police are busy but IMO they can hardly contain their couldn't give a flying and just don't want to do anything unless they absolutely have to attitude.

I can understand your concern.

At the least they should have told you what they did and what lead them to decide to close the incident.
