WAMT....what annoyed me today!

Postmen who wear shorts even in winter :S

Unusually Amazon ...

I ordered something Monday 8th that was in stock and fulfil by Amazon.
I went for the free delivery, as I've found the 99% of the time its PDQ,
Items are usually dispatched 1-2 days after the order is placed and delivered 1-2 days after that.

The started delivery was 12-15th.
Looking at the status, on Tues 9th it said getting ready for dispatch on the 10th.
As I have a massive Amazon warehouse about 5 miles away, that usually means a couple of days till delivery.

Well, today its still saying "preparing for dispatch"
2 days after the original dispatch date.

Looks like they will fail this time...

Have you got a subscribe and save order due to be dispatched soon? I noticed they foot drag when there is one of those then combine them. If you don't have prime they also seem to be deliberately slow for no reason every so often too.

No

No prime either, but as above, even with free delivery its never been more than 5 days if its in stock.
Apart from once when I clicked the combine orders button, on a few items.
Even then they split that in 2.

Chipped my nail on my poking finger.

I should have said 'not with a chipped nail'...

On the other hand... no problems :)

I bought some fillet steaks for tonight, in unrelated news.

Have you tried it? Thought not.

As Neo would say, 'We need pepper, lots of pepper..'

You can't just leave it at that!
In what way???

Well, to use cottage pie as an example, I add a strip of Green & Blacks 70% cocoa to the mince as the last ingredient. Stir it in until melted and simmer before putting in the dish and topping with mash. Same with Lasagne.

If it's any help, my last order from them was the same, seemed to be stuck forever
then the same time as it arrived everything was updated

I use chocolate with minced beef, works very well.
I had Spaghetti Bolognese, once, that someone had added dark chocolate, just a couple of squares and it was :puke:
And yet I actually like dark chocolate in very small doses.

LOL I'll keep my fingers crossed then :D

Each to their own, and I do find mince fabulously versatile, but the thought of chocolate (which I don't like) in it does turn my stomach.

As someone who can't stand chocolate with toffee/caramel or sprinkled on capuchino coffee that sounds just revolting :puke:

You can't really taste the chocolate, it just makes the mince that bit richer. But, if you don't like chocolate, I can see why you'd be put off.

Women who don't like chocolate?
What does one have to do to ...

never mind :D I'll not ask.

Well it seems that crossing fingers worked, it was marked as dispatched last night, and is out for delivery this morning,

Last morning in current job, the future doesn't look too good for the industry either with oil prices so low :(

Well would you believe it? Amazon kept their promise to deliver today.
However if it wasn't wasn't for the email updates, I'd have no idea that it had been left in my safe place, as there was no knock on the door, and the house hasn't been un-occupied all day
Is that called cutting out the middle man? :(
