WAMT....what annoyed me today!

The person who dumped a load of diesel on the ground at the pump, but clearly couldn't be arsed to cover it with the sand that is RIGHT THERE in the bucket.
Now my trainers stink of it. As does the car.
Oh, is that what the sand is for? I'd always assumed it was there in case you were travelling with a cat and it got caught short.

WAMT and every day this week: still having this stupid cold. It should be long gone but the damn thing isn't shifting.

Me too, not fully on my chest and not fully developed in my EN or T - Just lingering....around putting a dampener on things

It hit me on Wednesday been using first defence since then and fingers cross it's changing from terminal manflue to a miracle recovery. Early night again for me.

First defence the squirty thing?
If the cold virus has already taken hold you're wasting the product.
It's proven effective at that point at the onset when you get the tingly nose/sinus though.

I'm just getting over my cold :D

It's proven effective to me this week. I'm fine already.

WAMT: another week another appointment to get our Mercedes GL windscreen swapped out. It snapped last week at the final stage of install.

So the chap took it out of its van, and noticed the heating connection wasn't tapped up and bent upwards. All contact points were snapped off. Grrr another week and another appointment.

But on a happy note it was discovered before he installed it. And to be honest I wouldn't have remembered checking that part as it is fully integrated in the car without a button to press.

You are not having very much luck with cars are you? Try a bike instead? :D

What annoyed me today and the last few day's ?
Man flu has evolved into rather and aggressive "Head cold" that I can't shift.
Blocked ears, blocked nose, slightly swollen throat puffy eyes,
all at once or they take it in turns as to which is going to p*** me off today :(

Nope. I'm going old school for my next one I think. Get myself a Defender or G wagon or something.

At least my cold is clearing. Few nights to bed between 21-22 and first defence. Did wonders for me, although sitting here to my two tyres for my Audi fixed in the waiting room of yet another garage, I'm feeling rather tyred ;) again.

I'm feeling rather tyred ;) again.
I hope they hurry up, or your'll start to feel rather deflated, again if it drags on, no doubt :p

Luckily they got a grip, and got the wheels turning. Back home...Missed a call from Auto Windscreens, the next date for our Mercedes windscreen is 17th of March...Are they having a laugh?

On a rim and a prayer no doubt :D

WTF, do they make them to order of something?
Their error, they should put it right at your earliest convenience not theirs!

Motorists who are trying to kill me as well as themselves. I was in the middle lane of motorway at 70mph overtaking traffic in the lefthand lane that was around 50-60mph. A Pug driver cuts out in front of the car behind me from the left lane, swings across to the outside lane, starts overtaking me and then tries to cut in front of me too close. If we had connected, it would have effectively been a PIT manoeuvre with my front end clipping his tail and sending him spinning.

WAMT: Our holiday apartment in the Lake District has no mobile signal. That shouldn't be a problem; we have wifi and Three have a nifty little app which allows one to make and receive calls, and send and receive texts, over wifi. But I haven't used this app since I got my new phone, so I need to configure it - and and for that I need a Three 3G signal. Grrr!

Registry office jobsworth making up procedure and going against national guidelines and regulation. Complete twuntspangle.

Getting to work this morning after a couple of days off to find my van broke and no one has done anything about it :banghead:
It's a bit noisy so the person supposed to be using it on Saturday used a spare van and left mine in the yard, no form filled
to say there's a problem so nothing has been done
Oh and did I know the fuel gauge isn't working  went to check, turned on ignition and needle went across to full as is should,
but apparently it hasn't moved when they drove it on Friday, WTF I filled it on Thursday and it's done about 25 miles, I'd be more worried if it
had gone down much o_O

Excluded from discussion :(

Say's more about the people doing the exclusion than is does me

If it's the EU discussions, you're not excluded at all. You can choose to participate at any time as I understand it.
You were one of the members calling for such a section, to get rid of these threads from OOF, were you not Keith?
You can't have it both ways.

Actually no I wasn't

I argued the opposite that there should not be a separate section and that those who are often found to be the ones causing trouble in those types of threads should be banned from them and then if that still does not work just ban the discussion of such topics full stop

Yes I do have the choice to go into the hot topics section but that's not the point is it? I do not wish to be a part of that section for the reasons I have given before

So yes I have been excluded from discussion by the very moving of that particular thread to that section of the forum

I was the one arguing that some discussions should be in a separate area in the hope that w*nkpuffins and c*ckwombles would stay in there rather than dragging less uncivilised discussions down to their level. Maybe OPs could be allowed to report their own threads for the purpose of removing unwanted posts? Not as censorship as such (although I suppose it could be seen as that), just to try to keep discussions civil in this area.

You haven't been excluded, you've excluded yourself.

Keith, for the last time!

Hot Topics is NOT a section for people to be more argumentative that in OOF

Hot Topics is NOT a section where people are allowed to cause trouble or insult eachother

Hot Topics IS a section for the discussion of more serious subjects as a way of separating them from the more fun/light hearted subjects in OOF.

There are a number of threads going in there, including on about the EU which has been going for a few days, and there have been no more issues in there than in OOF of late, maybe even less. So, who do you think is going to post in the thread in Hot Topics who wouldn't post exactly the same thing in the thread if it was in OOF? As I've said until I'm blue in the face, the same rules of forum decency apply in Hot Topics as everywhere else in the forum. Its NOT the bear pit you seem to think it is.

I can't see what ever replies you may have written in that EU thread

It is pretty evident I am not the only person, by a long shot, who thinks the same way with regards to the hot topic section

I will leave this here as I have no wish to get into some aggressive discussion with you

I said pretty much similar in the EU Referendum thread and you replied to it.

It is pretty evident I am not the only person, by a long shot, who thinks the same way with regards to the hot topic section

That doesn't make you any more right. The fact that you won't subscribe to the section yet are making judgements about what is going on in there speaks volumes really.

I will leave this here as I have no wish to get into some aggressive discussion with you

"aggressive"? I think this may be an indication of your issue here.

Funnily...I was thinking exactly that...

Still trying to work out how to get into Hot Topics. Cumin gain access from my app and haven't sussed it out on the computer yet.

Sitting in crawling traffic for 40 minutes and getting to the end of it to find there was nothing. No accident, broken down vehicle, police car, bridge jumper, escaped horse etc. Nothing. No reason whatsoever. Grr.

Try sitting in traffic for two hours only to find out the cause as being a high speed police chase which became a high speed police crash. No serious injuries, yet a major route closed, resulting in immense chaos for miles around.

A similar incident involving civilians would result in a lane closure at worst, with the involved vehicles dragged off the road quick smart.

What was the spreadsheet program much used in the 90's that wasn't Excel?....Racking my brain now.
