WAMT....what annoyed me today!

Or rubbish it gets worse. The puncture is a fine slit on the sidewall. And it's a Quattro :(
b****r! you aren't having a lot of luck are you ? :(

Sounds like you need to move, JP. Someone seems to be out to get you - or your vehicles at least.
Its the cattle grids at either end of the village, they are booby trapped to stop the idiots escaping :D

Replace pair on an axle and make them same brand and size as others. My quattro handbook says wear difference isn't so crucial but brand size/model consistency is. Put a new pair on and keep the other third one as a hot swap part worn spare. I'm assuming your car is mid 2000s onward. I think the earlier quattros were a bit more fussy.

You all missed my point, which is, as a buyer the only criteria i should be judged on is how quickly i pay, so if i pay instantly i should get positive feedback, f*** what the seller thinks.

I do realise this is more of a problem with ebay than anything else.

No...that's not the only thing you should be judged on.
If that's the case, have you received your item, and in good time? If you have, that's the only thing the seller should be judged on, not the speed of their feedback, and in that case I trust you've left immediate feedback accordingly.

Seriously, neither seller nor buyer should leave feedback until the entire transaction is complete....including the receipt of the goods with no further issues.

Mine is a 2004, still a proper quattro whatever that means but loads of argument about it on the Audi forums :) I'm changing brand though, wanted to do that for a while as I'm not getting the benefits of the capabilities of the Pirelli's out of it...But will keep them the same on each axle, and will keep overall tyre size the same as well...So two new tyres, next Saturday....

So, having sorted a replacement for my lost blue badge, the council sent it out the next day, 1st class signed for. The postman duly tried to deliver it whilst I was at work yesterday and put a card through the door.

What's to be annoyed about that I hear you say.

Well nothing until Mrs fabs went to collect it from the sorting office this morning. Turns out the postman didn't log it so they thought he might try to deliver it again today. She went back at lunchtime and they still hadn't been able to contact the postman. They then said they would phone as soon as they located it.

5 minutes after she got home, they phoned to say that the postman had put it in a separate bag and left it in the van. The woman who phoned reluctantly offered to deliver it on the way home ankd made a point of telling us it would be in her own private car.

FFS! they couldn't organise a good time in a whore house :D

Hope you got (get) it

That's not the same. Different brands have different rolling circumferences and squashiness so if you want to change brands you really need to change all 4 at once.

And you miss mine - if you as a buyer turn out to be a complete scamming tosspot why should you have positive feedback? For example, buyer buys lens, pays instantly with paypal, seller leaves positive feedback and ships lens. Buyer then claims lens was damaged, sends back his old lens he dropped in the swimming pool whilst on holiday, paypal side with buyer. Seller loses lens, money and can potentially have bad feedback whilst the buyer can continue with not a blot to his name.

I know.....I will take the risk.

Happened to me twice now. Luckily I recorded and photographed the serial numbers of the items I send out which were paired. The buyers tried it on and returned their broken studio lights with a totally different serial number. PayPal sided with the buyer, but also with me  because I had the evidence.

Stupid cv writing company telling me mine needs a bit of improvement and luckily they are having a sale at the moment.
Mine is fine as it is.

I look forward to the WAMT: Diff disintegrated after being an optimistic miser that only changed 2 tyres :D
Lol I seriously doubt that it works on such small margins. Heck - there is that old English word :) - tyre wear and the roads around here with constant bends will provide a much greater difference for the diff to deal with.

Item/s are as described should be another thing the seller is judged by as well surely?

That's what the dialogue box is for, I always add that, ( or otherwise)
And read feedback before buying from a new seller.

Fireworks? WTF?

Well, it IS Jan 23rd. ;)
Ah yes of course how could I have forgotten that today, in
1570 – James Stewart, 1st Earl of Moray, regent for the infant King James VI of Scotland, was assassinated by firearm, the first recorded instance of such.

Exactly!

And don't forget, tomorrow is the anniversary of Humphrey O’Sullivan patenting the rubber heel so expected some loud fireworks. (y)

That shoe'd be quite a load of old cobblers then :(

Actually, it's also the 100th anniversary of the introduction of conscription in Britain tomorrow.
Yeah what ever happened to that? That's sort out the youth of today
:D

Dontcha feel better for knowing that? :D
Thanks, I can rest easy in bed tonight now

Yes....hence.....

Why should the seller leave feedback before he knows the buyer isn't a swindling knobjockey?

So I removed a noisy fan from my computer, great that noise is gone - still need to replace it with a new one

However I can now hear a whining noise coming from within my case every so often, I am thinking it may be the graphics card fan, which ever one it is it is going to be a PITA to sort out

Turn the radio up?

My hearing is a bit funky, I can be sat opposite someone and miss hear what they say or just do not hear then clearly enough, yet high pitched whining noises I can pick up no problem hence why my computer is now annoying the hell out of me

Sod it, just ordered a new graphics card, was going to get one anyway just hadn't planed on it being so soon.

Also got a new CPU cooler just in case it is that sucker that's whining

Perhaps go see a doctor about that? My hearing is very similar and we are embarking on lots of tests.

Failing that a fanless graphics card will do the trick.

Not all buyers are 'scammers' or 'knobjockeys' though.

Wamt: that we don't get as much snow as the US. I love snow.

Not all buyers are 'scammers' or 'knobjockeys' though.

Absolutely!
But there's no way the seller can possibly know that until the goods have been received and the buyer is satisfied.

Two hours and 15 minutes so far. This was supposed to be a 30 minute train journey. At least I've got a seat. But I'm hungry :(

So what are you saying? Any longer and you will start eating your seat?
I'm sure that it's embedded with enough protein to sustain life in an emergency :D
