Excellent . Thanks fo rthe heads up! Have to record it as I'm airsofting in Reading that day.

Super stuff, .but I.have read that the 'madness'is going to be tomed.down lot.....:(

I've always said Marc is useful for some things :D

Yea can't wait for it to start but I read yesterday that the top gear boses have told the guys to tone it down a bit that they were getting a little carried away with all their setups, etc. Still an excellent show though.

Info about tonights show from BBC website:

Today, 20:00 on BBC Two
Synopsis: Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, James May and The Stig return for a brand new series.

In this first programme Jeremy asks why there aren't more three-wheeled cars in the world and investigates further with a closer look at the 1980s comedians' favourite, the Reliant Robin.

Meanwhile, James gives Top Gear's favourite warhorse, the Toyota Hilux pick up, one final assignment as he attempts to drive one up an active volcano in Iceland; and The Stig rips up the track in the new Bentley Continental Supersports.

Plus, Richard gives the old Chevrolet Lacetti a dignified send-off before he and Clarkson host a star-studded tea party to welcome in a shiny new Reasonably Priced Car.

Wonder what the new Reasonably Priced Car will be....?!

now going to watch it on iplayer as the sodding humax box had an epic fail!

The new serious format is a breath of fresh air ;)

Not impressed at all. Just trying too hard to be funny, and too much waffle to pad it out.

I didn't watch it this time around. I used to love it but now it just seems as though they spend too much money trying too hard to be funny. It's had its time just like big brother a while back. No doubt there's a few more seasons before it get's axed though!

Same old, same old :shake:

They should bin James May and replace him with Sabine Schmitz* :naughty:

* On second thoughts, maybe this isn't the right time to introduce another German who can beat the English....

I thought it was really funny. :)

i thought it pretty good too - loved the reliant robin bit.

that Bentley does chew rubber as well!

According to Arkady she has as much on screen personality as a cardboard box! how would we be able to tell the difference? Besides which JC would never accept a co presenter who could beat him in a race. :)

I'm sure Rob is right, however may (if you pardon the pun) I submit the following into evidence for....

The case for the defence rests, m'lud :naughty:

I'd rather spend time in the pub with May than with the German bint.

Then again, there are things I'd rather do with the German bint than I would with May.

Since Top Gear is rather like sitting in a pub, blathering about cars, let's keep the May!

:D

Very good Graham.

A lap of the Nurburgring?

That could be one of them, although I loathe being driven at the best of times, so a flat out lap beside a woman driver doesn't hold much appeal for me TBH. Still, that would be better than a lap of the 4 poster with May!!!
