Top Gear

I guess some of you don't understand TV or this show :D . May is irreplaceable. Sabin already makes appearances in some german tv shows she may be a good driver etc, but she is boooring.

I laughed like a baby when I watched the new episode. I think it's because i'm in love with the show.

Sunday, 20:00 on BBC Two (except Northern Ireland (Analogue), Wales (Analogue))
Synopsis: Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May attempt to find a trio of cars which are equally at home on the race track as they are transporting a family to the shops, for a budget of 5,000 pounds. They end up with a BMW M3, a Mercedes 190E and a Ford Sierra Cosworth which they put through their paces in Europe's home of speed, Germany.

Plus James makes a rare visit to the Top Gear track to test a pair of Porsches - the 911 Sport Classic and Boxster Spyder - and Alastair Campbell is the star in the all-new reasonably priced car.

You mean in the episode when the TG boys flew in in twin seater spits it really was James May and not the Stig in the Aston............:lol::lol::shrug:

Yep Clarkson Cosworth, Hamster M3, Captain slow in the Merc. Guaranteed. You read it here first. Not seen it (obviously) but I'll even wager the Merc is a dark petrolly blue colour......, M3 will be Yellow and the Cossie White.

Long ago, the list of TG presenters included Noel Edmonds. I'm pretty sure most people here would rather see JC than NE.

TG was originally a show where they just test drove cars. The format got sold (with a couple of its presenters) to channel 5 and was renamed 5th Gear. Jeremy Clarkson then revived the Top Gear name and created the format we see today. *



*Not sure that it was actually JC that revived it personally but you see what I mean.

don't try watching russian top gear. it's sooo crappy . I know russian and the way they pronounce stuff + copy quotes from JC is beyond a joke :D

I really enjoyed it, Getting rid of James May ... no way something appealing about him hmmm.

The Robin part had me in stiches, my ex husband was taken to out wedding in one back in the 80's ... shame it stayed upright lol.

I want to play the drum machine thing they were playing at the track side, looks like fun!
 
Louis spence made it for the wife, she asked if he was on every week, that pineapple dance studio is the greatest, with out louis it would be boring.

Agreed -she got herself booted off D-Motor (the German show that competed with TG during the UK/German challenge episode where the lads arrived in Spitfires) for being dull as ditchwater...

She is seriously boring...:gag:

Tim Schrick (younger, rally-driving presenter) now is the lead host and it's much better.

Lina Van-d.e.r-Mars would be a better choice as a guest 'foreign-totty presenter' - she co-hosts '*** Checker' on D-Max TV with Alex 'Checker' Wesselsky...

Format is that people ring up ask for a car, set a budget then he goes out (in a NYC Checker-Cab) and 'checks' three cars for them... Mechanic Lina does the final spannering and polish to get it tip-top before the had-over.

I learnt more about cars (and more German) from that show than anything else in the last five years...lol
