The 'I dont give a damn what anyone else thinks, im really looking forward to Christmas...thread'

Anyone else doing an advent calendar? I have one every year no matter what, always have.

This year's is a belter. :D So far the windows have revealed festive socks (sounds reasonable) a dog, a sheep and a zebra.
:thinking::LOL:

This Advent calendar is amazing - behind today's window was...

...a giraffe! Yes, a poor giraffe with tinsel spiralling up its neck.

Everyone knows the 3 wise men rode a Giraffe to the stable (y)
after all its only a spotty camel with a long neck :D

I'm sure I remember a panda, but might be getting mixed up with when mary told Joseph about the immaculate conception

It was thought to be a cross between a leopard and a camel, hence its Latin name.

I'm going to see my granddaughters nativity play tomorrow at nursery, Christmas feel good overload coming up. I love kids singing Christmas carols, it just melts me

Still don't feel xmassy here, maybe when I start tackling the wrapping it will jump out at me

I finished all the wrapping today & this eve we've just eaten a Christmas pud  It was the oldest of the 4 we have in the cupboard (best before 2013) which has been soaked in brandy over the past couple of weeks............... luverly it was. (y)

I may have to get a little one just for me :D

I'm getting some wrapping done this week whilst kids still at school, still need to shop though

Better give the puppy more sedatives to stop it jumping then! ;)

You are speshul, T.... :p

haha i have heard that plenty of times, along with scary, loony, weird stoopid etc :P

I've opened today's window on the Advent calendar.

Any guesses as to which festive delight was revealed? :D

Lol. I'm not giving anything away just yet in case others want to guess.
Well as the last one was a Geeraff I'm guessing duck-billed platypus :D
( the only mammal that lays eggs)

Wrong! There's another monotreme, the Echidna (spiny anteater).

Behind today's Advent calendar window was...

...a tiger!

(I realise it sounds ridiculous so I'll post a picture at some point. :))

Edit: ...and here it is. Note the Christmas (palm) tree and exotic animals. Is this not the best advent calendar you've ever seen? :D
