The 'I dont give a damn what anyone else thinks, im really looking forward to Christmas...thread'

Amazing what they can do with minimal invasion these days.
Hope she gets her crimbo at home.
Thanks :)

No good if her arms are knackered and she cant hold her glass of Brandy :)

Not sure if me and the missus are having one on the 25th, she has an operation on the 23rd of December for repairs to damaged arm ligaments. The surgeon said he will try key hole surgery, and try and get her out the same day. If the damage is more severe, then looking at being in over Xmas. So we will still have an Xmas, maybe just a later one :)

Sorry to hear that. Don't write it off completely even if she's kept in. The staff usually do their best to on Christmas day.

f*** Christmas, same as any other-day of the year, money orientated twaddle...:)
Don't beat about the bush, Mark, feel free to say what you really mean :D

not my kids, the brats that come with the sister-inlaw.
Hmm we must be related, my SiL has a brat too :D

But the worst bit? that brat also has a brat of her own

Talking of Christmas we are all festive again.
Balls and all :D

Pretty sure that never stopped some of them lol

Thanks :)

That's what straws are for! More seriously, hope she's able to enjoy the season whenever you get to celebrate it.

We started our office annual mince pie test this week. Had Sainburys (yuk), Waitrose (fantastic), Aldi (disappointing) and Asda (inoffensive) so far. Next week Costco, Fortnum and Mason, Tesco and Harrods.

Then I heard Slade on the radio, and we got out our huge wooden advent calendar.

Yup definitely getting in the mood and loving it.

Tomorrow I'll put up our outside lights, whilst my wife and children will do our indoors Christmas trees.

Got three parties scheduled next week, more fun in London. And two the week there after in the West Country.

Just need some snow to make it perfect.

I love Christmas, and all that goes with it.
Apart from the monster in law coming for Christmas dinner and feeling it necessary to stay for a week, even though she only lives 30 miles away :D
Not coming this year though
