No points deduction for QPR !
It appears London clubs can break the rules and get away with it
So you're assuming guilt?
Pretty much yeah, as they have been found guilty.
Of 2 offences which are technical and punishable by fines which they will be so they've got away with nothing.
Its a tricky one i feel, the actions they are been found guilty of should have carried a far larger punishment, but until the FA have the balls to implement said punishment and include it in the rules, before clubs commit the offence , then i feel clubs will continue to ignore the rules.
Perhaps but we're not even sure of which charges they were found guilty of yet. The latest rumours are that the fine will be around £50k which, I must admit, seems an extraordinarily small amount. As for the comment about London clubs, I'm pretty sure it was a coincidence that these high profile cases happened to involve teams from the capital. I can see o reason why other teams would be treated differently.
Still, I'm an extremely happy fan today and really looking forward to next season.
With the money QPR will have to spend, they just need to be careful that they buy the right kind of players to keep them up, which are not always the most expensive players on the market.
Ok, the latest update is £875k in fines + 50% of costs.
i believe one of your owners has that amount in his car's ashtray.
Indeed.
Amit Bhatia has confirmed tonight (Saturday) that Neil Warnock will lead the R's into the Premier League.
Speaking exclusively to www.qpr.co.uk, the QPR Holdings Limited Vice-Chairman quashed any rumours linking Warnock with a move away from W12, commenting: "For as long as we are involved with QPR, Neil will be our Manager. He will be our leader.
"We hope for great success with Neil leading us forward.
"We look forward to continuing our relationship and partnership with him."
BTW, I'm pleased to see that The Potters are holding their own in the prem.![]()
i wish spurs would stop dropping points, seriously, i dont want that 5th spot euopa league poison chalice
You're not a fan of the Europa League are you.
I'm sure at one point they were considering giving a Champions League spot to the winners. Not sure I agree with that but it would certainly give it a purpose.
I didn't get the scores today so watched MOTD not knowing any results.
Gutted Spurs didn't get 3 points now I know that City lost to Everton.
Quick question, Why is the FA Cup Final being held before the end of the season and on a day/weekend where there are Premier League fixtures being played? Is this purely logistical due to the Champions League Final?
Yeah, Wembley isn't owned by the FA, so when they asked to play the FA cup - that got told tough pooh as the champions league final was already booked.
I read somewhere that the Champions League final ticket prices start at £80 and go up to £300, so presumably the money on offer to Wembley is a lot more than the domestic cup final.
So you're assuming guilt?
They were found guilty and its interesting that over the years big or rich or London clubs (West ham,QPR) have got away with a fine whereas smaller poorer provincial clubs (Luton,Boston,Swindon) have been absolutely mullered)
Or maybe I'm just an old cynic
PS nothing against QPR I just hate Warnock with a passion
