The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

Just for a bit of fun...

... I had a try at ICM on the beach last Xmas. :)

I've installed PS and LR on my iPad this morning and needed an image to muck about with so dredged the archives and found this one. Maybe I'm hungover but I quite like it and think it's quite peaceful to look at. My wife want's me to print it for the wall, (she must have even less taste than me. :p ) Happy for people to tell me it's rubbish if that's how they see it! :p

Really like this!

Here's a bit of a mixture from last week; city architecture, silhouettes, a reflection and some train shots. All taken on the x-t100 with the xc-35mm.

Not the kind of photography I ever indulge in myself, but I have to say there's some cracking shots there. Great set.

I think because of the virus trying to trade in the rest of my Fuji gear is crazy. So I might do a great deal on them later if anyone wants a cracking deal as it`s all boxed and ready to go.

As wex have not got back to me, I will consider very good offers on the lenses in classified just have to put the xf50mm f2 and xpro2 in a thread.

Anyone suggest suitable carry options for the 100-400 with body (H1) attached?

I'd like something that gives some protection but be as compact as possible and can be carried both on its own, or put inside a rucksack. So I guess some sort of toploader/holster. But which one - think tank, lowepro, mindshift? And which model for this lens?
Or am missing another obvious solution.

Thanks

The TT digital holster is really nice. WEX is offering 20% off Lowepro today only so worth a look.

Thanks, I've ordered the Think Tank, it was the same price as the equivalent Lowepro after discount, and is less bulky.

I do like this photo. It jogged a memory from about 1983, when I bought a JVC Hi Fi system from a shop on the right of the photo. I just can't recall the name of the shop, they dealt in sound systems.

Nice, I was surprised the Lowepros were more expensive than TT, TT is usually more, they make awesome gear.

It was priced midway between the cheaper Lowepro Zoom range and their top end Pro-Tactic range.

I think I'm developing a bag fetish though, I'm looking longingly at a Fjallraven Stubben rucksack but it is a lot of pennies!!!!

Hi fuji people, just a quick question. Would a Fujifilm X-T20 with the XC15-45mmF3.5-5.6 OIS PZ lens, be worth going for? Just looking at a couple now, they are described as new, but a clearance item. Price was £500

My post above. Just looking at an old post on this thread, and Park cameras were selling the X-T20 with the XF 18-55 for £499 brand new. So maybe what I spotted was not that a good deal after all.

You wanted an x100 series @jonbeeza

If you don't scratch the itch it'll never go away:)

I was just looking at alternatives. The alternative being, possibly an old X-E1 /E2 and the 18mm f2 used. By the time I get the camera and lens, it would be close to £400. But I spotted an X-T20 with kit lens, described as a clearance item. Not sure if it is a good deal or not.

PS

I would also like to try Fujifilm again, even though I said I would not buy another.

You've posted that 2x now :D

What are you looking for? A zoom or prime?

Had a couple of hours yesterday to play with the Viltrox 85. Headed for a sunrise shoot with some friends. Trying out some iPad editing with theseView attachment 291404

That's very nice Fujigraph Nick, liking this shot very much.

"Just out of interest, what software on your iPad did you use" ?

George.

Probably been covered a million times here but there's a lot of pages to look through to find that answer. Got a mate in a bit of a pickle with which camera to get.

He's stuck between an X100V and X-T4. I've told him I've got/had both (still got X100V) and said the X100V was nice and good fun to use because it was simple and didn't have to worry about lenses to choose etc. His arguement against it is it's versatility. He doesn't have the freedom to change lenses for longer focal lengths however he's checked his images and he's like me that he doesn't really take longer images but likes to zoom in on trees about the 70-100mm focal length. He says he can pay the extra and get an X-T4 with 23mm which is the same as the X100V. Of course I advised it wasn't as fun. What we saying to this?

A cold windy London was pretty uninspiring to say the least, but managed a pano from the bridge ...

Totally depressing mate, I used to go at least once a fortnight to do some street but lost interest now. It's also hard to blend into the background without the volume of people, i'm no shrinking violet but i'm not wandering around with expensive gear because one thing that hasn't changed is the scumbags that target anyone with anything valuable. Sadiq Khan has turned it into a third world s***hole in record time.

I'm saying that XT-4 + 23 will soon turn into an XT-4 plus 3-4 other lenses and empty his wallet LOL

I'd go for the X100V and walk up to the tree.
