If I wanted MP nope Id choose that over the A7riii
I think id do the same at that pricepoint

Don’t know if they still do this PP had me phone a number and call out a code number - a which point the dog barked and screwed the call up. It was a one-time shot and they made me wait over 2 weeks holding on to 2.5K I wanted to spend on my Canon 1d3 (2008 I think) - money laundering prevention they said - sticking my money away in an interest bearing account I say.As if, dealing with PayPal is so so slow and frustrating!!!
Big price difference. Doesn’t need to be exceptional AF, just ‘good enough’.No. Dont mess around. Just buy the sony.
Stilll wouldn’t solve my one camera system issueHa ha well I reckon Toby is in 2 minds.. I honestly think if the D850 had 2 SD slots he going that route and I wouldn't blame him.. My mate just got it and WOW didn't realise what a camera it was

Rookies if you go for the D850 would this be your quickest camera change ever?!

Aren’t you still in your 14 day return period anyway?TBH I will prob get a extra £100 back as I got a good deal on my stuff
Most of the Wildlife I do is static, not bothered about BIF or owt like thatAdapted ime isn't good enough. With Sony you have the option of adapted but native is where it needs to be to compete against dslr.
But after playing with my mate D850 today in real world out here in the Peak district with his Bull dog and landscape it was Amazing felt like a camera the IQ was awesome. If I wanted MP and AF I would deffo choose the D850 over the A7riii without a doubt

But you were loving your A7iii until your mate got rid of his, just worry about what you want rather than what others do mate.
Yes but i be able to see with a bit of profit already can as a mate know someone lolAren’t you still in your 14 day return period anyway?

Lol seriously! Didn’t you look at other bodies within Nikon system before moving to Sony?
Are you going to get a Nikon D850?

Yes I did..but I wont make a lost so I be fine....
Or is there a sigma we could think about with he sigma adaptor

Good point I wonder if sigma 100-400mm is any good especially with mc-11![]()
There is also a sigma 100-400mm C which is smaller and lighter but f6.3 at long end150-600 c, I think they are all fairly slow

I swear they could make a soap opera from your camera experiences!!
I tried it at Silverstone and would rate it as ‘ok’. OS isn’t great, build is pretty good. Difficult to give a good opinion on sharpness as I was trying to pan F1 cars at 1/50Good point I wonder if sigma 100-400mm is any good especially with mc-11![]()
F5.6 vs f6.3 means didly squat with how good ISO performance of modern cameras is. Not sure how you’d get on with a tc though if you wanted one. There is also a sigma 100-400mm C which is smaller and lighter but f6.3 at long end
Rookies has reached legendary status
Honestly think he should have just stuck with the D750!

Similar market but in some respects completely different beasts. There's a lot of advantages for the Sony, for me the only advantage of the Nikon is the ergonomics/usability. EVF vs OVF is swings and roundabouts. I think the Sony is more camera for the money (build quality aside). Both stellar cameras though, top of the game.Nah if I of still had the D750 i would still want the D850.. TBH I am shock you not gone that route Id of done that for MP than having the A7riii

Up to him mate, he seems impressed.
Why would I want a D850?! You were not shocked I didn’t want one before so why the sudden change of opinion?!
Yep. True! We all make our own life choices! But maybe should have tried it before buying the Sony gear as might have got some nice Nikon show offers!

you were saying you wanted faster AF and better MP the A7riii is certainly not a faster AF the D850 would of been
But I don’t want a D850, never have, never will. It does not interest me in the slightest so it’s irrelevant really!
But you were interested in a D500 hmmm
