Dow Corning High Contrast 2 by Simon Hiscocks, on FlickrUnusually for me, I would have gone with the colour one too. When I first looked at it, I thought "Oh, sepia toned mono, interesting", then I saw the road sign. That made it especially interesting.
Great for the theme.
I think it fits nicely, the first is a lot more atmospheric for me and almost black and white!,

Thanks Allan it’s not a directly sepia effect. I’ve tone mapped it and then fiddled with the exposure and shadows a tad for full disclosure, the sepia colour came out as IThe sepia effect works really well, gives great character to the picture
