Simon's 52 for 2025

Job done ! I am curious, how is a Folk guitar different?
Cheers Alan.
I don’t think it is different really. Tone/ intonation on acoustics may be more appropriate for some types of folk, but at the end of the day you could play folk on anything acoustic, Spanish, electric whatever takes your fancy. I think the naming is just aimed at a broad genre for marketing purposes. After all, Dylan managed to play folk on his Stratocaster quite successfully, although it did upset some of the purists at the time!

Great choice Simon love the circle with the intersecting lines of the strings.

Week 44 - Old & New and Tech High Dynamic Range

Apologies for lack of comments etc - been away for a week in the Peak District. Weather a bit grim, light not great for the most part.

Hopefully this shot of "The Cage" at NT Lyme Park, with the high rises of Manchester beyond, combined with autumn foliage all zapped up with some tone mapping adjustment ticks the box for Old & New with High Dynamic Range Tech

Week 45 - Snapper's Choice

Autumn reflection in Ladybower reservoir, with Win Hill behind. This was taken on the last day of our holiday to the Peak District last week on a walk close to Ladybower reservoir. It was actually taken on Thursday afternoon (and but for the change of theme announcements to Friday mornings would have counted as being in the right week, but a distinct lack of time and opportunity since getting back from Derbyshire (near constant rain, son and his girlfriend's engagement celebration plus them moving into their new house) meant I've barely looked at a camera since Friday. Forgive me please....

Nice colours - good crop :)

Week 47 - Keys

Apologies for the rubbish photo - once again stuff has got in the way. I haven't been anywhere remotely urban for week 46's theme yet, and before I get 2 weeks behind here's a very quick and very rushed shot just to tick a box.

I'd love to finish this year's challenge properly, but I'm struggling to see how I can find the time and more realistically the commitment to dedicate to this properly next year.

Nice. I think that I would have cropped out everything except the railing.
