The square crop of the b+w feet for me Andy, quite like it. The crop gives it a great impact.
Flow, really liking this idea, nice simple composition, a Renault Figaro I believe. The 1st version is much better, it suits the cars very well.
Your fountains abbey shot looks goo too, looks like it's worth a visit.
I'm all about colour this week so I prefer no.2 - good idea too, haven't seen this done before! So lucky to get just one car on a motorway- or did you have to clone some out? well done chap

Hi ya
something else I've gotta have a go at...multiplicity
Strange not seeing any other vehicles on the road....as per Summer...lucky or cloning ? I'm prefering the B&W version , the colors seem a little Tilt shift strong in #1 . 1# makes me think of what it must have been like when motorways 1st opened & the has a period type look to it in mono ...like it mister
Maybe the angle you shot at ...the lamposts look straight but the roof seems to be listinig right hand down a little....I'm guessing the road is going down hill ?
Nice idea well executed although it does seem to be sloping and there is the back end of a car on the bridge i noticed![]()
Ooo I like that Andy !!!!
Amazing no other cars, I prefer the 1st shot my self, the central reservation stands out too much for me in the colour.
I really like this take on FLOW! It's a great idea and one that I wouldn't have thought of - mainly because I have absolutely no idea how it's done!! :bang:
Cheers
PS If it's not too technical, maybe a pointer or two?
Love the car shot Andy.
I was thinking how lucky you were to get all those cars on route to a show or something when I saw it on flickr.
But then I read how you did!
Hi Andy - great idea, well executed.
I think that the colour works well because it adds a little pop to the shot and whilst the red of the central res is v. bright it has a lovely diagonal following the line of the car. Also the colours seem to have that old 50's colour postcard feel to them which marries with the classic car
Up - Great shot. Good timing & well lit.
Duo - The last edit is the best in my opinion. Love the B&W.
Flow - Great capture. I like this.

A really good idea and well executed. I still thinking you should have hung around for it to return going in the opposite direction.![]()

I'd go with that too mate !!!
Agree it is a good flowing curve... and that green moss is very bizarre but very interesting, large with black background helps show the good detail - very nice photo![]()
this says seaside to me better than anything - it's the kind of thing I'm always snapping but no-one appreciates it- now you have to though
- love this one (can you tell?)

Hi Andy
I haven't been around TP lately (well not actively posting) I have been popping in from time to time but haven't commented in a while.
Your last version of duo, the square crop gets my vote, it is a more balanced image once you'd lost the top part.
Flow, again the B&W gets my vote. It suits the subject better, the space around the car(s) really lends itself to the days of motoring gone by when there would have been few vehicles on the road. Clever thinking on that, I like your creative thought processes.
#2 for flow works well too. Its amazing what photographs are around us if we take time to look. I like the vibrant green colours in here and the tones of the sea wall. Can't fault the composition either, the sweeping curve of the wall leads the viewers eye in and through the scene. Good work![]()
Love the black and white car shot !
Nathalie said:Hi Andy,
Up - The boots are interesting because it's a different take on the theme. As someone else mentioned, perhaps it is a tad dark. I prefer the ballon photo though (b&w), because it's got a more clear connection to the theme.
Duo - For me it's got to be the feet (but then I did go for a similar type thing myself). Both colour and monochrome versions work for me.
Flow - I think the wall makes for a better picture. As you mention, there is a kind of symmetry to it. I like the moss and the PoV. I would have been tempted to crop out a small bit on the left.
michael23 said:I like that Andy, the green algae certainly makes the picture, it wouldn't have worked anywhere near as well without it.
I like it better than the cars the wall certainly has a flow to it,nicely spotted

Number 2 of those for me Andy, I like the extra colour to it. Lighting is great, really like the shadows that you have created too.

sturisoma said:I have to agree with Sarah, I think the match head bent forward is making it look like a naughty boy on the naughty step - however, I love the idea and the image. I think I prefer no. 3
well done for not slicing off your fingers whilst making this (assuming you sliced the matches with a very sharp knife)
I think you could make quite a series with these lil fellas. In my day we used to make dolls out of wooden pegs - gives me an idea
but yes, I like your images![]()

I can sya that #1 appears to flat & #2 the lighting is too harsh...for me anyway. As for crit.....it may just be how it's cropped but compared to #1 the last image seems slightly, very slightly on the squiff to the left ?
The Strangers once sang, 'There's always the sun', not in Leeds there isn't!
Was hoping for a nice sunlit autumnal Change photograph, but looks like it ain't happening.
I have a backup on a flickr, SOOC and processed, but am hoping for a nice colourful sunset during the week.
Cheers all and don't forget the end of meet thread![]()
