Heat.

Just 14°-C here at the moment, quite a bright morning so far but very blustery yet again with no rain just yet.

Hey,Dale..sure you don't want to re-consider the title of this thread ...:D

I was thinking the title would've come into it's own by now.

Dull and grey at the moment, to the point we are using the indoor lights:oops: :$. We are getting the odd sunny spell but it's a pretty driech day. Currently 12°C.

To be honest though, I prefer it cool like this, rather than 30 odd degrees.

Nice bright morning here earlier but clouded over a bit now, 16°-C at the moment with a light breeze and no rain just yet.

Very overcast morning here with a temperature of 16°-C and a light wind. No rain just yet but there is some forecast for a bit later in the day.

Another overcast morning here, 14°-C at the moment with a moderate breeze. Apparently it's going to brighten up a bit later.

I think we've had 'April Showers' a month or 2 too late this week.

Today is half decent though, bright and sunny, a little breezy and 13°C. Apparently, it's to warm up over the next few days.

20's plenty in my book.

Sunny and warm yesterday and warmer today ..22ºC ..so I high pressure-hosed the drive and patio. We have had some sunny/cloudy days recently when I could have done them but not in that biting northerly wind. Next week we're forecast to have 24ºC due to the winds changing and coming out of the south or south west. There is one day to come when a front moves in bringing rain for all of us. I wonder if we'll see the same pattern as last year when the heat came in September. A rhetorical question, of course.

Very grey here at the moment, although it was like this yesterday but it eventually burned off and we had a decent day/evening. It's dry, calm but with the occasional breezy gust. The temperature is about right for me, it's 12°C, although I wouldn't mind if it did warm up just a little, although not that 30°C malarky.

It was lovely and sunny earlier this morning but has since clouded over, 16°-C here at the moment with a fairly strong wind. According to the forecast it's going to brighten up a little later with nice sunny spells.

I was right, all that cloud did burn off yesterday and it turned into a bright, sunny day. The late afternoon/evening was very summerish.

We've had a similar start to yesterday though, it's cloudy, breezy but quite warm at 16°C. No sign of rain at the moment.

I'd best get some of those garden jobs done today.

Yesterday turned out to be a lovely warm day but still quite windy. This morning it's a lovely sunny morning with hardly any breeze first thing but getting stronger now and still only 16°-C.

Yes..great to feel the sun's warmth again and be able to get some outdoor jobs done. I'll go and get a couple of bags of kiln-dried sand to brush over the drive and patio.

Early start today. Had rain overnight..still wet on the ground but the sun is out now so another nice day in prospect but I don't work at weekends. Jobs can wait until Monday .. :)

Yesterday didn't brighten up, we had some rain but it never really came to much. i did manage some odd jobs outside, which was good.

It is brighter today, although still some hefty looking clouds about. It's dry though and I'm going to spend some time down the river. Currently 13°C.

Yesterday it was lovely and sunny pretty much all day but with strong wind. Today started dull but has since brightened up with a temperature of 16°-C at the moment and quite windy with possibly showers later.

Beautiful sunny morning down here with a temperature of 18°-C at the moment and only a gentle breeze.

Yesterday remained dull but it did warm up a little.

Today is much the same at the moment, it's cool and cloudy but dry, which is my kind of weather as it's not too hot and the light is diffused nicely for photography, which takes up a chunk of my weekend. Anyway, it's a pleasant morning and currently 14°c.

I see it's to warm up though, possibly high 20s, maybe even low 30s for some :runaway:, for a few days, then it's to become more unsettled again.

What a strange year it's been so far.

Yesterday was a lovely sunny day but still ended up quite windy. Today is another lovely sunny day so far with a light breeze and a temperature of 17°-C at the moment.

Well today has warmed up nicely, we're now up to 21°-C with only a gentle breeze. Me being a cold morsel this sort of temperature is just fine for me. :) :)

After 2.00pm the overcast skies disappeared and it got very warm, very quickly. We're due 27ºC tomorrow and Wednesday but losing it into Thursday and back to where we were.

When I let Mutley out the garden this mroning, it was still before 7am but it was noticeably warmer than it's been at that time of day, I didn't check but easily 20°c at least.

It's been a muggy, cloudy day, with sunny spells. Even now at almost 10-30pm, it's 17°c.

Was roasting yesterday, although not as hot as it was in Linwood  :$

It's great to see new contributors to this thread but would you mind expressing yourself in technical terms, such as ºC rather than a nebulous term such as... 'roasting'. My wife roasts beef, lamb, pork at 200ºC.... :D

That fire looks awful.

You mean the fire? That looked bad.

Dull, grey and muggy here at the moment. Dry though and very little breeze. 17°c.

Yeah, I think it was an EV battery recycling facility but there was speculation as to whether or not it was ENVA or another firm sandwiched between them and Malcolms. I think there's a company called Weee Electrical there. Incidentally, ENVA had a similar fire at their Linwood site almost a year ago.

Well, after an hour in the sun I certainly felt "done"....

I was hoping it would be cooking today :p, but it's much cooler.

17ºC..? Dear me. It's 24ºC heading higher this afternoon. Some places are forecast to reach 30ºC .At the moment we have some fair weather cloud drifting around blue skies. Will soon be sitting at the patio table for a coffee and with the brolly up .What a difference the sunshine and warmth makes.

Wowzers, not a million miles away. I did go outside and looked to see if I could see any smoke but being down in a valley, I couldn't. I do remember one time being at Loudoun Hill and could see a tyre recycling plant on fire in Glasgow from there. That would be about 10 years ago.

Unfortunately, the prevailing wind seems to blow from the West towards me! lol

Yes... Tyre fires are really bad and very polluting.

We're now up to 24°-C with hardly any breeze and it sure do feel very warm when in the direct sunlight.

By 2.30pm It was too hot even under the patio brolly to sit out. On the thermometer, on the patio table under the brolly, it got to 33ºC.

We have two boxes on lovely Lindt chocolate and I went to get one earlier .I unwrapped it and the hazel nut was sitting in a pool of melted chocolate. I've had to put them in the fridge. The temperature inside the house is 25.2C. Not going to be an easy sleep tonight.

19°-C here at the moment, sunny with a gentle breeze. Looks like it's going to be another very warm day.

'Twas a touch warm for the first couple of days on holiday - 43°C!!! Cooled down to a more manageable 35° after that. Thank the Pantheon for AC and ice machines.
