Heat.

Quite a pleasant morning here with some bright spells, 15°-C at the moment with a light breeze.

We had some heavy ish rain this morning for a few hours. It's stopped now and things semm to be drying up. At least the garden got a good watering. Dull and grey just now but with the odd sunny spell. A nice 11°C.

Nice and cool on the course this morning, with a few drops of rain (which obviously stopped as soon as the jacket went on and restarted intermittently when it came off...)

Dull as dishwater here..Some drizzle, some rain and temps down to 16C. Hopefully, it will be brighter tomorrow re our visit to the Ospreys..`dyfi..and Red Kite centre on the way back here or it will have to wait another day. Sunshine/showers is the forecast.

Nice bright morning here with a gentle breeze and 12°-C.

To say it's been a bit nuts here this morning isn't an understatement.

So far we've had, sun, rain, then biblical rain, then biblical hail, that set off car alarms and now it's biblically raining again. We've also had a crack of thunder, right overhead. I don't mind thunder, not scared of it at all but that was so loud, it made me jump.

Not to mention the wind squawls we are getting during the showers.

Currently 7°C.

Decided to go to the Ospreys/Red Kite centres tomorrow as the chilly north wind, now blowing , is forecast to drop which will make a big difference as I'll be on an outside platform at Dyfi..Ospreys. It is,at least, bright and sunny here today but we can't sit out on the patio. As I mentioned in a previous post, last time we were here it was 30C.

The nest is 200m from the viewing platform so I should be ok with the 150-600. on a 7D11. ..1.6x crop. Been trying to see how far 200m is...Lol.

Nice warm, sunny day here today (mostly!) Shem I had a dental check-up and had to collect Mrs Nod's Mum from hospital. At least the waiting at the hospital was free parking, thanks to her blue badge and the relevant app..

It's a lovely bright morning here with a light breeze, 13°-C at the moment and reels quite warm in the sun.

Ooopsy George.

Quite a dull morning here, with sunny spells though. Damp, not raining as I type but it's not far away. Everything got a good soaking yesterday. A little breezy and currently 10°.

Quite a nice bright morning down here with a temperature of 13°-C at the moment and not too much of a wind about.

Heat , Don't make me laugh , Next week is going to be worse up here, 14 degree and cloudy most of the week , How is this summer , I now see why they changed from global warming .

Powering through June and heading towards the longest day of the year in the middle of summer..... and it's like sodding winter outside. This country really is marmite.

Going to get up to high 30s next week. Mind you, we will be a few (hundred!) miles South!

It wasn't a problem George, made me chuckle.

It's not nice here today, quite a blustery, almost stormy morning with heavy showers. 10°C.

Flamin June eh?

On holiday still but we have to get out despite the north wind. At least there are periods on sunshine. June 7th and this moring at 7.30 I look out to see low grey skies with drizzly-mist over the hills and by 8.00am it's drizzling here. Something you'd expect in winter months not the first week in June. 14C..

Dale. You mentioned the Elan Valley. We skirted the western side to .Cors Dyfi Osprey centre..very close to Machynlleth. 200m to the nest is too far, even on my lens at 600m + 1.6x 7D11. plus the wind through the windows of the observation tower. Won' be posting any photos..Lol. Take a photo of the screen ..(webcams next to the nest) inside the Obs. tower, suggested a volunteer... Lol So..from there to Bwich Nant yr Arion..Ponterwyd..Red Kites feeeding centre. Heading home through Devils Bridge..now eastern Elan Valley ..Pontrhydygroes..Tregaron..Lampeter.As you say..a wonderful area..lovely scenery. Tomorrow to the coast..Ynys-Lochtyn(Llangrrannog..west of New Quay...Aberporth..further down the coast.Bought the freshest fish ..sea bass and sword fish.....we've had for a long time from an old white-haired fishmonger who visits Lampeter in his van on a Friday . Such a lovely accent..proper Welsh.

Sounds like you're having a blast John. I love Elan, magical, spent many a happy hour there and stayed at the Elan Valley hotel more than once.

We have a brighter day today but still blustery, with extended sunny spells and the odd threatening cloud. Currently 10°C.

Nice bright cloudless morning here at the moment with a temperature of 14°-C and a light wind.

What is it with the weather this year?

Cool and blustery here at the moment, with threatening clouds.

I walked to my Kingfisher site yesterday, it's just about over a mile from where I park. It stayed dry for the walk, I even broke a bit of a sweat. I settled down on the riverbank (not the work of a minute) and let time drift by. It was well over an hour before there was a short shower, not enough to make things wet though. The time came to pack up and as I climbed out of the riverbank onto the field, I could see rain falling in the distance. Luckily, there are some old drainage pipes nearby, I took shelter in them and stayed dry but boy the rain was heavy. The shower lasted 15 minutes or so, I took my chance, still bone dry to get back to the car. My legs got soaked though from the tall grass, which is now waist height. All good fun.

Not a particularly nice day today either, much the same as yesterday really, clear spells but with threatening clouds not far away. At least the light isn't too harsh for KF photography.

Currently 11°C.

It's certainly very disappointing. Yesterday morning, we woke..about 7.00am to find the central heating was on. I haven't been able to locate the boiler...lol...to see what temperature it's set at to come on. I'm sure the forecast was that the night temperature would get as low as 7C under clear skies. We get clear skies..all blue up to 8.00am..ish ,then 100% cloud cover. At present .just on 4.00pm..100% cumulus cloud cover but no rain. 14C with a chilly NW wind..The rain comes tomorrow, our last day, heading home Tuesday morning,,in the rain. The forecast for the whole country is continuing cold winds with heavy rain at times..a large area of rain coming in from the west on Thursday. :(

It's been raining virtually all morning here so far and only 11°-C with very strong wind. Not a very nice day at all.

Started raining at 4 pm yesterday and it's still raining now , Apparently we have this all week .

Yes.. that's right. This miserable weather is with us all week. Heavy rain Thursday.

The sun is out here and out of the wind it's lovely but I can't even sit on the patio having an afternoon coffee ....hoping to see the arrival of the local grey heron or Little Egret down by the river so I can 'creep down ' lol..and photograph it. We're now looking at holidays abroad at the moment.

Has been quite a bright morning so far but still only 11°-C at the moment and a light wind. The forecast though is for heavy thundery showers and strong winds.

Yesterday was average but it stayed dry.

Today, much the same but brighter, currently 11°C.

Back home on the iMac. It's much easier than the iPad. So, as I mentioned, I started looking for a holiday 'in the sun'. We went to Tenerife in February..28ºC .Our friends are in Split,Croatia and said it's very nice. ..25ºC. We both fancied Crete. for May 25th next year as June gets too hot but who knows what late May will be like ? What's the temperature there now ? An 'excessive heat " warning' has been issued for 35ºC today and 37ºC tomorrow. and Thursday. It's always a couple of degrees hotter than the official figure so let's say 37-39ºC ..in old money that's 98.6F.-102ºF It got too hot to be walking around in Tenerife at 29ºC, I wouldn't be out in 35-37ºC. I see the TV celebrity health guru, Michael Mosely died of heat exhaustion on an island off southern Greece whilst walking a mile to his home/accommodation. It was 40ºC..ie 104ºF...June 5th.

All over Europe temperatures are, at various times, becoming unbearable, a risk to health to be out and about in. A couple of years ago I heard a climatologist say that the people of Europe's mainland will come here for holidays to escape the annual excessive heat periods. As we know on here, bird species, especially, are moving north because of European heat waves.

Bit of a non-descript sort of morning here, 12°-C at the moment heavily overcast but no rain just yet and a light wind.

Brighter again today but the dark clouds are not far a way. It's nice at the moment though, quite sunny and dry. May cut the grass later.

Currently 12°C.

On the news last night , 28 degrees this time last year and now 15, :(

Only 14°-C here at the moment, fairly bright with a not too strong wind. Here we are at nearly the middle of June and the summer just doesn't seem to have got going yet, it should be a lot better warmer weather than this.

12°C here at the moment, dry and not all that windy. Skies are grey though and there's heavy rain coming in later on.

What's it all about this year?

Very showery here this morning and 14°-C at the moment with quite a strong wind.

We had a ton of rain yesterday afternoon and overnight, it's not long stopped, for now at least. Glad I managed to get the grass cut on Wednesday as today, it would be like making grass soup, it's sodden. Dull and grey at the moment but at least not raining now. The Met Office says it's to start again soon though and carry on, into the evening.

It's not great weather but being honest, I prefer the cooler temperatures compared to what we had this time last year. Currently 12°C.

It's a nice bright morning here but only 12°-C at the moment with a very strong wind and showers forecast for a bit later.

Heavy rain showers this morning, I dread to think about the river level. We'll see later though. It's almost an autumnal feeling to the weather today, blustery, cool and damp.

Currently 12°C.
