Fuji x100

It does. Bit less noticeable than the silver, but the silver looks sexier in my eyes. :)

I think I am fonder of the silver model but the black case. The Black edition is handier with everything included but wonder if it really will hold any greater value if it isn't a system for me. Its clear the screw/hood/Filter is not worth the £150 alone but maybe the overall value of the black will hold.

I am torturing myself by looking at shots this camera can produce. I think it could be the very thing to inspire me to shoot more on a daily basis. I love my D7000 to bits but it is just too big to carry with everything else I need day to day.

All depends on how much you pay for it remember. There are deals to be had if your lucky...

Then depreciation won't be as large IF you decide to sell it back on.

Hey, come on. Just get it and shoot.

If you're worried about resale...perhaps you shouldn't..

Hey Keith. I think I'd prefer Baskets without the Guassian edit (is that how it's spelt)

Looking up/down...super perspective...(vertigo)

Thanks mate.......I edited the Basket Kingdom shot like that to remove a lot of distracting crap from round the edges!

I like this - works really well in mono!

Thanks Keith. In camera Black and White film simulation with red filter. Just a touch of contrast in Photoshop.

Nice shot Trevor, shame them wires run across it though. Modern times I spose.

Superb shot Dave, improvements, just the clipped tree but you know that. ;)

Should be pretty good for that I would think. Wide lens, low aperture good IQ at high ISO.

Can anyone comment on how good the X100 would be for family photos/Christmas that sort of thing? It wasn't something I ever did with it when I had one.

I guess you're talking indoors? If you can get the focus nailed it'll be great. Getting the focus to find it's target is going to be the tricky bit. You can help it a great deal by picking high contrast areas to focus on but if light is really slow it will struggle.

Thanks very much. No getting away from lines...

I don't know, a minute in an editor with a clone tool and goodbye line and branches in top right :)

Yeah, but still leaves (geddit) the lines through the branches. Tough clone here..

First time out with the X100 today. First time in a long time out with anything. Plenty of room for improvement, but I'll put that down to not knowing the camera ;)

That top shots bang on dlh, looking at getting an x100 myself after seeing some of the great results on here. Hoping prices drop a little in the new year!

Cheers, Matt

I have ordered my refurbished x100 this afternoon direct from Fuji for £486.99 which includes £10.00 for next day delivery. This also includes a case apparently this is just for orders in december. I used discount code PAYPAL12 to get this price.

Well i had a real surprise today, city link turned up with my fuji x100. They failed to deliver on friday as promised and i was about to rebook delivery for thursday 27th. Talk about being over excited i couldn`t even eat game pie at lunch time.

The case that was supplied was brand new,and the camera itself has got no marks on it,but it does have what looks like some dust inside the lens. It also came with x2 batteries as well which is an added extra as i was going to order one anyway. Managed to pop out for half an hour and take a couple of shots.

That's a great first shot, the colours are lovely and vibrant

Mine arrived Friday and even though its refurb I wouldn't think it had been used, perfect condition
