Hiya Lynne,
So glad to see you broadening your photography skills .... if anyone has learned a lot in this Photo52 I think it is you.
You have really pushed your boundaries at times and I respect you for that
Your latest photos are great and a subject I have wanted to tog ... but just don't seem to know where to start and am also slightly apprehensive about doing. Although it is something on my Round Tuit list
I can see how this fits with the theme of 'explode' ... and in my eyes would also suit the current theme of 'rapid' .... after all I suspect one has be pretty quick on the trigger for this type of capture.
I envy you for the fantastic first attempt ..... and I sure hope I can achieve such pleasing results when I have a go. Hey there is an idea ... maybe you could visit some time .... teach me how to do this type of photography and in exchange I will share my knowledge of fungi photography and take you to see some great places for togging local to moi.
Right .... now for the critique .... I like both images but feel they are strong enough to stand alone ... rather than in a diptych. The second image has more impact for me because I feel the sense of motion and the implosion/explosion of the water drop, not to mention the bokeh is absolutely amazing on this one. It has a very festive feel to the image.
I notice your response to what you used as background .... very inventive
Well done on both and I look forward to seeing the next few weeks .... I can't believe we are almost at the end .... it seems like just yesterday we started this project.
Good on you girl for keeping up with the pace and producing some amazing shots.
