Yes
A bloke down our road is not a nice chap.
His missus & himself swear at the kids & are generally just horrid.

I have noticed on a couple of occasions that he has been pumping fuel
out of his company road sweeper & putting it in barrels.

My neighbour advises that his friend has a yacht & he buys it.

The road sweeper shouldnt even be in the street im my opinion.
Its only a cul-de-sac & kids on bikes gamble with their lives every time
the drive it.

Im thinking of grabbing a few shots when he is next pumping fuel &
then giving his company a call.

What would you do?

Dob him in.

Shouldnt be wasting there money and gaining profit off it.

Do your good deed for the week or whenever he does it next.

I'd be tempted to do so, but a bit worried about potential repercussions if he knows it's you...

That^^ unless you are 6ft odd and muscles to match and pack a bit of clout in the area.

Or just make sure he doesn't know it's you, and I mean make damn sure. What's he's doing is wrong, whether he's a ****** or not, and needs to be called on it.

Thanks guys,

He wouldnt know it was me, the call would go something like 'hello, is it policy
to pump out fuel & sell to a friend who has a boat? If the driver of ABC 123X
is doing nothing wrong, then please ignore this call.If he is doing wrong, then
im more than happy to provide photograpic proof for a small fee'

Also,

Do i.............

1. Let him see me take pictures & when he starts getting stressed, offer to
delete the pics for some folding matter or

2. The above & then recover the pics using recovery software & then phone
his boss?

Also, im not about road sweepers but i thought a commercial vehicle had to
be kept at the place registered for O licence requirments.

His vehicle authorisation was cut from two vehicles to one as a result of running from the unauthorised centre and putting his brother's truck on his licence. According to vehicle examiner Anthony Proctor, despite a strong warning in 2005, Ogden was still taking his vehicle home rather thant parking it at his operating centre.

Maybe something to with being available for emergencies may have something
to do with it being taken home.

I think you are swimming out of your depth!!.

If it isnt effecting me or mine then I would mind my own business to be perfectly honest.

Stay well bl@@dy clear of it, good intentions have a way of backfiring, a friend lived in Top flat and could smell a strong gas smell, She reported it and the man who can, came from B Gas and traced it to the flat below, came back and told her, said it could have took the block down if it had ignited
But unbeknown to my friend ,he had slated her off to the woman below and said it was her fault he had to switch her gas off until she had it fixed.

Well ,my friend was the villain of the block, even though she most probably saved a massive explosion.

Keep well clear my son, as Dell Boy would say.

HMRC would surely love to know. Much more fun than informing his company.

too right. I wouldn't hesitate - well I would but only to be sure it was done in a way that couldn't come back to me.

And the chances are he's up to no good in other ways. I once learned of a bloke's double identity which he was using for mortgage and bank fraud. I knew that he was claiming benefits under one identity and suspected that there was much more to him than even this. I bubbled him and the DSS fraud people then opened a massive can of wriggly things and the bloke was sent down for six months. A few years later I came across him again in another town - with yet another identity. He got another six months.....

I had a member of staff fiddle me out of about £30,000 over 3 years when I first started in business. Its not nice. Almost finished me.
Just bear in mind though that he will have a lot of time on his hands once he loses his job. Make sure he cant find out its you.

Kev.

And I was that man!! "Got you":razz::razz:

I'd stay away from it ! if its not affecting you

I'm a big believer in karma and this could come back to haunt you

If you're gonna grass someone up you need to be 100% squeeky clean yourself or you're just a total hypocrite

I hope, for your sake, he's not a keen photographer and internet user as well....

I would say go for it.

I was in same kinda senario. My neighbours kids were being abused(Physically, Verbally not sexually) everyone knew about it. everyone was to scared to speak up. It did not affect me but metally it did. So i contacted police etc and it was the best thing i did. If something is telling you to do it then do it:)

:D

So your current advice would be to ignore the gas smell and go out in a blaze of glory :thinking::cuckoo::lol:

Use a zoom so you don't have to get close.

If everyone was frightened of the repercussions then nothing would be fought for.

Sounds like you don't mind a bit of blackmail and double cross yourself which makes you no better than him does it?...perhaps even worse. Still with a nickname of Snoop why doesn't that surprise me.

get some photo's of him and then blackmail the scumbag! might pay for a new camera if he's frightened of getting fired/nicked LoL
Or tell anti terrorist squad he's filling up barrels and when they come a calling get some shots of them nicking him and sell to the press! LoL

Shop him anonymously to his employer and the police.

I used to work for the council, Had a phone call to advise a taxi driver was storing diesel in large barrels in his garage. No further details given. I took it from there and the name of the person who called was never known.

You could just put an anonymous tip off in the right direction, they will then watch him and get their own evidence and you won't need to get involved. It is the thief that is in the wrong here. I don't think I would want someone storing barrels of fuel in my street?

Thanks for your assumption of my character which is incorrect.

Money doesnt bother me on the slightest but if he is willing to pay then why
not

The nickname Snoop has stuck with me since the days of listening to
SnoopDogg

I think the anonymous phone call is the answer.

Thanks guys.

Shop him anonymously, by letter. If he's a road sweeper...then surely it's our tax money?

Assuming he's on a fuel card or something...if he's lifting significant amounts of fuel then it'll be very easy to incrimincate him by looking at mileage.

Thank god you have seen sense !!.

No two ways about it - report him.

That's one reason why this country's going down the pan because so many people care far less about doing the right thing these days.

If he's stealing the fuel then there is a victim. Help out the victim and report him.

According to his wife who blabbed to another neighbour, if he isnt pumping
it out in the street he is filling the barrels up at the filling station when he
re-fuels the truck.

Im not what he makes but apparently its quite a large sum of cash that
changes hands.

Its theft. Needs sorting. But I would just take some photo's without being seen from a different angle than my house (he's bound to be shown them) and post them to his employers.

Best advice ^

Of course you should report it, to his employers and the inland revenue both, if history teaches us anything it's that turning a blind eye to criminality has far reaching consequences.

I agree with the people saying report it, but please do it in a way that is not designed to profit yourself.

If the company offer you a reward for the information then obviously accept, and if you can get photographs to prove it without putting yourself at risk of being identified then do so.

Kev.

If the camera can see him he might see whoever is holding the camera:eek:.

I would send a letter or make a call to the company, preferably at a national level if it is not just a local company, there is always a chance that there are more involved in the fiddle if it is large scale and the person who opens the letter or takes the call could be involved.

I'd phone up the council/council subcontractors to report him. They'll stick a PI on his tail or use CCTV to gather evidence against him. My missus is a Senior HR manager at the council and they definitely do this regularly!

I definitely agree with Boynielaad - ignoring him wouldn't be an option for me, nor would profiting in any way from his illigitamate gains.

Why do you need to risk getting photos? It's not your job, just report him to HMRC and sit back knowing you did a good deed. :)

Best way IMO

The only FACT you have in all this is that he is putting the diesel into containers... Everyhting else is just tittle tattle.. people telling tales and Gossip

So who brought the rope ? :)
