Iain, Shoot is an excellent take on the theme, and it works very well. A great setup with the bluetac too.![]()
if you use save for web.. the EXIF is stripped...
Shooting Dice
Hehe, the first thing I did was check the exif to see if you'd cheated... and then I read the comments. Nicely done all the same!![]()

Really like the composition, dof and timing on the dice shot - well done!
Phil
Cheers Phil, bit of a cheat on the timing side but there you go![]()
Aaaah ... didn't read the rest of the thread.... now I understand!
Phil

You had metrying to figure out how you'd done that one....very good use of blutak there mate!!

Was going to say great shot well captured............now I've found your secret all I've got to say is CHEATER!!!.

This is really nice Iain.
The lighting, green background and the hands all come together to form a cracking image that fits the brief perfectly.
Andy
A neat idea Iain, i never thought about cards when compiling my possible shots list. I have to say though im not a fan of the blinds im afraid, it seems a bit distracting to me.
As to the lighting from the blind I think it's a big plus. Love how this has been put together and bang on theme.
Works for me!Nice colours, and you've taken it at an interesting (in a good way!) angle....good work Iain, keep it up!!

Another one in favour of the lighting from the blinds
It adds another interesting dimension to it and in my mind it contributes to the feeling of solitude - being sat there alone by the window, shut away from the outside world.
Very strong composition and good colours.
The angle that you've chosen is perfect. The only bit I'm not so keen on is the blinds themselves just peeking in at the top left corner.
great interpretation for the theme.. cant really add anything that hasn't been said.. love the light cast from the blinds, so that gets a yes from me![]()
Good interpretation Iain. I'm a little undecided about the blinds - I do agree with Sarah though about the blinds themselves. But well thought out.
Nice original idea...I'm another that likes the shadow of the blinds....much more interesting, if I was going to pick anything to be unsure of it would be the dof on the hands, I think I would have like to see them sharp but it's a craking shot![]()
A very good take, and with an interesting dimension to the lighting. The lighting fits in nicely... Good one Iain

Gets my vote. Bit of a casino feel to your 52 at the moment isn't there, dice, cards, green baize........
I like this, and pretty much agree with what Sarah's said above.......... a real feeling of solitude........
A clever idea and I like the way you have produced it - good colours and composition and I definitely like the blinds!
Hi Iain, catchup time for me...
Produce: A good quadtych and definitely works better with the borders.
Quad: Nice effective collection of shots that would work well in a golfing magazine. Are you dropping your right shoulder on the way through? That palm under your chin in the 1st image is a bit distracting also, but it's no biggy.
Shoot: Really like this image. Conveys movement well and is nicely composed.
Single: Nicely set up and I can't decide whether the lights distract or add to the image. I think I prefer them as it would be a bit flat without them and it adds atmosphere to the shot.
Ian.
Great idea Iain, i particually like the contrasting eye colours of you and the missus and how they have merged in your daughters.
Very clever take on the theme. Each one of those is good individually. I like the way you have managed to get the catchlight basically the same in each one.
Interesting comment about the eye colours.
Jenny
. Too much mucking about when I was trying to be creative.Nice one Iain.
I didn't think there would be too many variations on this weeks theme but you have managed something different
