I need some 400 35mm colour, I hadn't realised how little choice there is, and how flippin dear 35mm is.
there's fuji 400h and portra 400........that's it !
wtf
800 is too grainy, 100/200 is too slow, or at least that's my best guess.
I'm going to be shooting "submerged", the details of which are unclear, 400 seems like a minimum and as close to grainy as I want to go.
Anyway, I've bought some portra 400 now, so that's that.....lol
Just bought a Franka Solida II from a charity shop for £15. Was tempted to buy some HP5 for it from Boots, shoot it and get it developed, then I found out Boots only sell it they don't process it. She didn't even offer it as an external service. It let the wind out of my sails a bit and I didn't even buy the film. Looks like it will be an ornament now. Most places look too expensive for B&W developing & scanning to CD. It's the reason I usually resist buying 120 film cameras.
If anyone's looking for a cheap Polaroid SX70 I've just seen this for a bargain £25 if you're quick;

Tempted myself as it comes with the original case etc and looks like ti may just need a new skin but I've already got a Polaroid 110A on the way for a Fuji FP100C conversion so I've got enough on!
Please don't make it an ornament Steve, cameras die in display cabinets like dogs die in hot cars, at least put a roll of film through it. It takes 120 film which can be bought quite cheaply from a well known auction site and there are lots of mail order places that will dev the film for you or do as Carl suggests and do it yourself.Just bought a Franka Solida II from a charity shop for £15. I have thought about it, and I did it once on a course back in '92. However I just don't have the space, most of my free space is covered in SLR cameras, lenses, flashguns, filters, Rangefinders, compacts, Polaroid, Fuji Instax and folding cameras.Have you thought about developing B&W film yourself? It's incredibly easy to do and works out much cheaper, plus you don't have to wait a week or more to get the results backAll the equipment will fit in a small box in the cupboard and pays for itself quickly once you aren't paying a lab to develop . Everyone should develop their own B&W

Boots was where I was initially going to buy the film. I was put off when the woman at the photolab said they only sold it for a few people who developed their own.
Nice one, glad it might go to someone on here :0)
@gazmorton2000 you shoot with a Contax 645 now don't you? Saw this on ebay and figured it could be a good deal if the bidding stays low and it still seals properly

This has the potential to be a great buy for the right person. Its got a computer and the software which is what you need to run this thing. It would be worth checking out what the condition of the bed is and if it has any on the accessories. Big scanner and great for scanning negatives.
