Would most HGV drivers not just undertake in that situation?

It smells of a set-up, but if that was the case I'd expect the truck to be in on it and wearing false plates (probably foreign).

I would have thought so to, I know I would, but the problem as it appears to me, the tit in the car was overtaking and slowing down again.
(It didn't happen just once apparently)
IF that was the case then maybe lane 1 was not clear enough for the lorry to get by.
Who knows? the more you look at it the more it smells like a load of out of date Mackerel
 
It's very possible that the car driver was being a tit but the lorry driver definitely became a bigger tit when he swerved into the car. Driver ego - the sooner we have driverless vehicles, the safer our roads will be.

As previously mentioned, there are excuses for using the outside lane if in an artic.
I strongly suggest we haven't seen the start to the incident, nor the full details revealed by the terribly wronged owner of a dashcam company, but what is obvious is that he was blocking the middle lane with his hazards on. I suggest there'd been an earlier altercation, not shown, which led to the driver overtaking, putting on his hazards, then deliberately slowing.

As such the lorry driver is entitled to take avoiding action into the outside lane.

Now if Mr Dashcam was so innocent, why not show the whole incident.
Why so little damage if the lorry deliberately swerved at him.

Still, hope he sleeps at night ruining someones livelihood for his moment of fame

The full video was up on his webpage, but it showed him deliberately slowing the lorry apparently, so has now been removed. Strange that. GPS data on it showed he pulled in front of the lorry then slowed below 48, with hazards on looking at the video.

Still it seems he's an interesting character, not only out to save us from Dangerous drivers (apart from himself) but also from Space weather

Are you saying he wasn't hit by the lorry?

Is that all the damage?

Edit: here's a better PIC showing the damage above the rear wheel arch (your PIC shows the lesser damaged front wheel arch I think, which as you correctly point out is not on its own £3k's worth of damage). :)

To be fair, there's damage on the other side as well.....but I'm not defending the cokwomble in any way....just sayin'.

At 50-60mph and a lorry sideswipes you when you are doing 48mph?. What do you think? Where's the scrape marks that would be made

left at the mercey of programmers ? to err is to be human, but it takes a computer to totally f*** things up :D

Because Its an Irritation at best however a few here find anyone that irritates them worthy of death....its a little extream way of thinking but middle lane hoggers are an pain just not enough for moider

Arranging premature meetings with God and allowing him to deal with things is not a long term solution........afterall God is fair and just so it could well backfire on the arranger of the meetings.;)

And The report on that site seems rather more balanced than the replies here...........No surprise there then. I would love to see this go to court and see the verdict.

Plenty of pedal cycle riders use these tactics to get motorists to react in a negative way so they can catch incidents on gopro cams........It was only a matter of time I suppose....

Well, if you'd seen the full video which he's now withdrawn as it shown him being the antagonist, or compare it to other videos he's posted, or read some of the descriptive posts in this thread... ;)

You're disputing the cause of the damage to the car and seem to be suggesting it wasn't caused by a collision with the lorry. I'm asking you, if the damage wasn't caused by the lorry, what do you think caused it?

I see nothing in those things you listed that helps me answer the question. :)

Its quite easy to cause minimal damage with something that large, I will confess my sins here, many years ago, while reverse parking a tri-ax 55 feet over all, I clipped a mirror of an already parked unit and trailer,
with the corner of my trailer, the damage amounted to a sheared nut on the mirror arm, that was it. :thumbs:
