Surprisingly easy 2 today, very few choices after first line.

SCOREDLE says there were 23 possibles but only 3 of those are words I would use and many were UK spelling rather than US.

A pleasing 3. I was going to swap to my alternative start word as the one I've been using has been a bit unproductive of late, but I forgot. Not that it mattered as either of them would have given me 1y. Then 2g 1y made a fairly easy guess for 5g

I used my usual starting word (ORATE) today and it seems it was luckier than I thought. WORDLEBOT says:

“ORATE is a strong opening guess. And it was extraordinarily lucky today. You’ve eliminated all but six of the words in my dictionary”

Two of those 6 are US spellings and one is a bit obscure so it seems there were only 3 words I would have chosen, as I thought.
