And BTW yesterday I found that the UK spelling of titre, metre (& another I can’t recall fibre) are in the NYT WORDLE list according to WORDLEBOT.

4 for me. xgxxx, ygxxx, ggxxy, head scratching (must be why I'm balding!!!) until the obvious(!!!) solution popped into my head!

Easy 3 today, could easily have been 2 as only two possibles after XBBBB first line. Then OXOOO left only 1 possible so OOOOO!
 
4 for me. xyxxy followed by a fresh starter which gave me xxyxx. Combining the guesses saw xygyy and then my anagram head whirred until the 5gs became apparent!
 
Couda, shouda, wouda have been a 3 but happy with a 4, 1G 2Y, 3G, 4G, 5G.
 
A disappointing 5 for me. xggxg stayed as xggxg then became gggxg. Took 2 more guesses to get that last g!
 
3 today. Looked like an easy start with XOXOO on first line and then another XOXOO but an awful lot of possible words so lucky 3 guess.
 
A lucky 3 today. It would have been even luckier if I'd remembered to change to my alternative start word because it would have been 2...........
