A bit of fun - WORDLE. (NB, US spelling!) No spoilers please

4 for me too. xxgxx stayed as xxgxx then got slightly upgraded to xygxx. Took a minute to fit the letters I had left as options into the slots! Not a nice one!!!
 
3 today 1G 1Y to start with the green as the first letter, I always pick the most obvious word (to me) I can think of which gave me 2G 2Y after that I could only come up with one word to fit 5G.
 
4 for me but only with a bit of help when I couldn't come up with any word at all that fitted. Heard of it (vaguely) but another one my vocabulary passed by. And English language was my best O level subject...........Maybe if I'd taken it for A level rather than concentrating on STEM...... Can't remember it ever appearing in an engineering report............ :LOL:

Maybe it’s dropped out of use but it was common in school mathematics.

I just looked at a modern maths syllabus and the word does not appear there whereas in the Wiki entry for Euclidean geometry there are 51 occurrences ;)

I guess this a bit of a spoiler but it’s late in the day and most have done it.
 
Took me 4. xxyxx, gxxyy, gggxg and for once, I chose the correct letter from a choice of 2 I had left that made words (I know!)
 
Another 3 today 1G, 2G, 5G. although I only had 2G after my second guess the placing of those letters and the ones I had discarded really narrowed it down.
 
5 today XOXXO. XOOXO then just grinding through multiple possibles to the end.
 
5 for me too. xxxxg, xggxg, xggxg then a y (effective g) left me with only 1 option (that I could see!)
 
On a roll another 3 today 1G, 3G, and after that I could only think of one word to fit 5G, nearly used it as my second guess but the other one had more common letters but happy with a three.
 
4 today. So near at 2 but so far: XXOBB XOOOO XOOO OOOOO . Only one other word left so 5 or fewer was inevitable.
