    70-200L F/4 with a 7D?

I'm expecting mine to be delivered tomorrow from MPB and I'm like a kid at xmas. I'll be using it on a 60D. From reading a few threads on here it may be a bit short for motorsport but a 1.4x would help.

    The essential Flip-Out, articulating screen...Discussion.

I actually used mine for the first time on my new 60D last night and found it incredibly handy, so much easier when the camera's down low.

    Tamron 17-50 or Canon 50 1.8 ?

I've also just bought a Tamron 17-50 from e-bay, but I find it miles better than the kit lens, soooo much sharper! I was also thinking of getting the 50mm 1.8 but I don't think I'll bother now.

    60d owners

I've just upgraded to a 60D from a 1000D, wow what a difference! At the minute I've only two lenses, a Canon 28-135 and a cheap Sigma 70-300. I'm planning on getting a Tamron 17-50 2.8 to cover the wider end of things as my 18-55 kit lens is being sold with the 1000D, and a Canon 70-200 f4L to...

    new body but what body?

weights from wiki: 1000D=450g, 60D=755g, The 60D feels much more solidly built than the 1000D but not too heavy, if that makes sense. My advice would be to try and get a hold of one in a shop.

    new body but what body?

A lot seems to be made about the fact the 60D is plastic but it still feels a world away from holding my 1000D. I reckon it'll actually be an advantage when I'm holding it all day at MTB events.

    new body but what body?

I've just gone from a 1000D to a 60D and it's fantastic. Much better at higher ISO and the faster FPS is great when I'm trying to capture my dogs, and as it's a good bit bigger the handling is a lot better, I couldn't recommend it enough. It's not full frame though, but I couldn't afford that...

I shall be at the Aberlour Highland games. Surely caber tossing counts as a sport eh? ;)

    400d to 7d? Any tips?

A couple of great shots there! I've only just upgraded from a 1000D to a 60D. Wow, what a difference. I couldn't quite afford the 7D, but the savings I have left will go towards some new glass so I think that's a good compromise. This hobby is nearly as expensive as Moutain...
