Raw any day of the week. The quality over jpeg alone is enough for me. Although the D2h has a fairly large buffer.

I'm very interested in this & have just been out to my local country park and fired a few shots off. I will PP them tonight and post them up, but this thread is a good read & has already highlighted a couple of issues i may find when going through my shots from today.

Mag alloy body on the d2h so that shouldn't be a problem.

Not an option on the d2h as the rubber kit would out weigh what I paid for it.

Some of the rubber grip on my D2h is coming away and its bugging me. What is the best way to stick it back down?

Best bet for sub £300 I would say is the sigma 70-300. You would need to buy the version with the internal focus motor.

I've just picked up a 7 day shop one for £13. Really can't fault it, max weight of 3kg which was the highest I could find for under £30

I've just gone to order one of these off the red snapper website. £20 postage. Yet on their eBay page its free UK postage. How can they justify this? Has anyone tried or seen one in the flesh?

I found that my black rapid rs-4 sling strap helps with the weight (Nikon d2h with 170-500mm)

Seems to hold my D2h and sigma 170-500 okay.
