Hot water molecules are moving faster and less dense than cold so are more liable to freezing,I've no idea TBH I have a proper boiler, all the pipework is inside, in the kitchen.
Although I did hear that hot water freezes faster than cold water. But I'm not sure if it's true or indeed, how that could be![]()
