WAMT....what annoyed me today!

No but what for? What's the point?
You can say anything so it serves no purpose

Does it really matter?
It honestly sounds like you use obtuse descriptions to deliberately make a big deal out of it tbh.
If you took the simple option, she'd have no cause to dig, you'd be out of there more quickly and so would those queuing behind you.

what are you talking about? Some of you have wonderful imaginations, or don't read properly. No where have I said I lie to the post off which I don't as I have no need to, I simply said anyone can lie and asking silly questions serves no purpose so please get your facts correct before commenting

And there goes the dummy.
Who has suggested you've lied?

What obtuse descriptions????
Think your sounding obtuse
You could have simply told her it's a cup. That is all ;) conversation over and much more simplified than turning it into some kind of mystery.

Sensor dust! Everything I shot post lens change this evening looks like a double exposure of a landscape over an art nude of Mr bloody. Evidently i picked the same moment a dust storm was blowing through to change lenses!

Not really annoying but waking up naturally rather than an orange, furry alarm clock wasn't a nice change.

There is a slight compensation however!

That I don't have a time machine. Even one that could go back 12 hours. I'd keep the cat in so he didn't get run over :( From lots of cats to none in a year. :crying:

Oh no!
Sorry to hear that.

4 years ago I had taken my dog for a walk and the cat had joined up, when we got home about 10.15pm everyone was tired and ready for bed but the cat was sat on the lawn and looking towards the open door. I wondered after a while where he was and he had gone somewhere. He always came in so it was a mystery where he was, midnight I call him and still nothing. Just couldn't think where he was, 5am out I went and still nothing, saw my neighbour who always went to work early and said I was searching for my cat. 10mins later my neighbour came back up the lane and said he was sorry but there is a little black cat with a blue collar dead at the side of the road, my little cat it was. To this day I have no idea what happened but I'll never forget having to tell my elderly dad who was nearly blind the sad news. He saw my face and said he's not coming back is he. I know exactly what your going through to-day, very sorry.

I've shared my life with several cats too, and I remember how I felt when they reached the end of theirs. They were some of the saddest days I've known.

WAMT: Tyres, tyres tyres. We've have a bit of a saga going on after replacing two front tyres (Continental Crosscontact UHP 295/40r21). The front left kept loosing air. I've had two after sales investigations where they could find no fault and thought it has to be the TPMS valve. Sytner Mercedes couldn't find anything wrong with the valve or wheel and suggested I shouldn't replace it even though the tyre company was willing to refund it. Anyway back from Holiday and the tyre is flat (0 PA).

Just been on the phone to the tyre company as I just want two new tyres. And I've learned an interesting bit of UK legislation. Basically in short, I have to buy two new tyres. The old tyres will then be send to the Manufacturer (free of charge :)) who will then test them. If the manufacturer agrees, I will then get a refund of one tyre minus the wear if any (no none grrrr).

I could possibly get away with just replacing one tyre as the other will still have 6-7 mm and it shouldn't be too different. But part of me is thinking that I don't want to cut corners and don't want to get caught out with Mercedes warranty regarding faults on the active air suspension that is all around. Other part of me is thinking to get all four replace and have nothing to do with Continental ever again. But guess what, it seems that Pirelli is withdrawing themselves and the only tyre in that size generally available with MO marking is Continental.

Is MO marking essential on a Mercedes vehicle for warranty or anything else?

Annoyed.

Well tonight's events put annoyances in context. Got a message from my mil whether my wife is OK to drive back after an upset. She was due to pick up her mum from a visit for her dad in hospital.

I quickly thought, arranged a neighbour to look after our two children and drove my wife.

Despite the all clear it looks like it had spread to the brain. Three clusters found. Fil is in a very bad way :( The priest just been as well.

Very sorry to hear that JP. :(

The hire car's aircon being very noisy. At least the drive today was slow enough to have the windows down and it to not be too boomy.

I took my children to see my father in-law after school. I was happy to see the temporary medication worked so he could have a little conversation and recognise us. Very very emotional for my daughter's, glad I was able to coach my eldest to go see him. Something I couldn't manage when my gran was dying and I really regret.

I think you did something very important for your children.
Well done.

Thank you. NHS staff is brilliant as well. Such a wonderful bunch of people.

Mum spent her last weeks in hospice care.
IMO hospice staff are incredible people.
I know for sure it's not a career I could cope with.
My best to you and yours JP.

I was planning on removing the battery grip from the camera for my upcoming holiday, but no sign of the battery compartment cover that was previously removed.
b****r! :(

I may have a spare 'door' tucked away in my wagon.

Will get back to you soonest

Old chestnut this one, why do people go to the trouble of taking out a bag for putting their dog's mess in then once used hang it from a bush or tree.

Who do you think is going to clear it up, the dog s*** fairy?

Just despair at times, so many people are just dirty lazy ignorant selfish bastards.

Just been through my box of spares for camera kit and no joy.

I lost one for my 50D (identical door as 40D but not 20D/30D) and bought 2. Used 1 but was sure I had the other safe.

The Chinese knock off copies are a couple of quid on the Bay but would take a couple of weeks to arrive.

WAMT?
EON! I have a fixed tariff until Feb 2017, notification just received, following my anual review and meter reading by EON contractor,
Seems they need to increase it by a tenner / month, as from October.
I don't think so! Appropriate email sent.
So far this month, Eon, Talk Talk, NEST ( the work place pensions initiative)
Are on my s*** list...

Hey you forgot to put me on the list :p

I get annoyed with my supplier, Npower, when I lived in the house I had a fixed monthly payment all year round
adjusted once a year if needed, built up credit in summmer and used it in the winter, worked fine for me, as things
always evened out over 12 months with little change
NPower seem to think that every time the meter is read they should change things, so I either get a price increase or a credit
paid back :banghead: makes budgeting the price damned awkward

You have pride of place, right at the top

Eon are not quite so bad they do a yearly review, well a guestimate that is, every year, about this time, they always increase payments.
By the spring, they decrease payments as they over estimated I didn't use anywhere near, what they thought I would ;)
(My fault apparently  )

Correlating emails, changing email addresses on important stuff, creating new folders / sub folders / message rules, etc ready for when the new IP takes over,
as a few are provider specific, and I bet they disappear :D
WAMT?
Not realising that I had OCD until a warm glow washed over me when I had finished :D

It's why l never use my IP mail for anything but their stuff, saves messing about when you change.
