WAMT....what annoyed me today!

I filled up the tank once, picked up a couple of bits in the shop, paid for the bits and drove away.

About an hour later it suddenly dawned on me that I hadn't paid for the £60 of petrol!!
Fearing that I was about to get my collar felt by the local gendarmerie, I hot footed it back to the petrol station and, grovelling, apologised profusely.
I had something similar happen. Drove to the petrol station on the way to work. Picked up some red bull and some gum. The guy was showing a new trainee how to operate the till. They (after a few goes) got the total up. I paid, not looking at what the total was. Drove off. Went home in the evening and went to enter the receipt into the computer (sad, I know) and realised I'd been charged only for the drink and gum. Went back the next morning and they were grateful I'd come back as the missing fuel would have come out their own pocket.

Me either, to be fair, but it would also explain why my fuel-up didn't flag as unpaid/driveaway when I returned.
It is because I paid for it, you owe me £60 :P

OK...but then you owe Shell £80. ;) :mooning:
That is between Shell and I, only got £60 worth of points as well :(, but this is between you and I :fight:

:punch:

OK.
Just pop round with the receipt.
It was 2011. :angelic:

WAMT - 20 minutes before I was due to sign off the confirmation of a big order came in. Yes great, if it wasn't that they want a different commencement date and I now have to update the proposal in a trillion place. What should have been a fantastic moment now causes me lots of work at the worst timing. I well an excuse to drink and work on the plane ;)

Audi A6 drivers mincing around, taking up the whole road and driving too darned slow.

All of them? Blimey! :D
All 3 that I unfortunately encountered today. :(
No.1. Sat at the front of a filter lane at traffic lights, moved off so slowly and continued to drive very slowly about 100yds up to next set of lights and stays in the outside lane, that I (2nd car) just about made it through as lights changed, 3rd car couldn't make it. Normally 8-10 cars can get through.
No.2. Proceeds to drive down outside lane of a slip road at 30mph holding up cars and lorries, whilst the inside lane is empty meaning everyone is forced to try to merge unsafely with 60-70mph traffic on the dual carriageway.
No.3 Drives at 20mph through a 30mph zone, brakes for no reason in a contraflow traffic calming measure even though he had right of way and there was nothing coming in the opposite direction. Accelerates back up to 20mph, even though he is now in a 40mph zone, brakes again to take a sweeping bend, actually achieves 30mph now even though he is in a clearly marked 50mph zone on a straight road. Turns right at traffic lights even though he never indicated, and proceeds to straddle the white line separating the two lanes of a dual carriageway, preventing me from overtaking. He continues to drive at 30mph now in a 60mph zone, to then stop half in the main fairway and half in the plenty big enough gap in the central reservation for turning right once again preventing me getting through.
Based on the fact they were the only 3 A6's I saw today, a fair assumption they all drive like that. ;)

They must have been really slow considering the detailed observations listed :p Not the usual cocks driving an Audi then :)

On the other hand, they might have bought you an additional day or two before you possibly requiring an oncologist. :D

It's all purely medicinal, which like all medicine, comes with side effects. Sunlight is the only thing that is now any good for my psoriasis, stuff that has worked in the past, no longer seems to work and stuff that does work should only be used on certain parts of the body where the skin is thicker, but also can cause skin cancer. Some days it itches, so bad I'm forced into bouts of mad scratching which apart from making a flaky mess also results in bleeding, ruined quite a few clothes as a result. Yesterday's sunbathing has calmed most of the itching and most of the flaking skin has calmed down. Another dose planned for today and tomorrow.(y)

The bin dumping culprit admitted his crime and his intention was not how I had interpreted and it was not who i expected it to be. I knocked and had a chat about why exactly i don't want a dirty bin :P. The other neighbours are still morons, but this guy is not.

Ouch, I can imagine that couldn't have been fun for him.
Just got to go and feed the mother in laws cat and then it's a few hours of sun before hitting the gym again. ;)

WAMT,
Bloody Houdini bird is again only wearing one anklet, I don't know how she does it TBH, 3 leashes destroyed, 3 or 4 sets of Jesse's destroyed and I think this is the 4th set of anklets!

Oh well out with the leather tools yet again.
Never before have I had to fit so much furniture to one bird in a few months!

She's just trying to keep you on your toes. :-)

Yep but its neither politically correct nor suitable for a family forum :D

I thought you liked a challenge :p

As long as you haven't named her after me, you know she will be big trouble if you have ;)
Go on tell :)

I'll buy you this book if I can find a copy :):p

WAMT

Tradespeople who don't return your call for a quote. Perhaps it's just me but that's 2 where I've spoken to their wife and asked for a return call to arrange a quote ....twice

If you're too busy or don t want the job at least have the courtesy please of telling me that so I find someone who does grrrr

WAMT

I was browsing a sales clothes rack and a woman in a mobile scooter asked to come past me. I took about 4 steps to move out of the aisle. She then proceeded to move forward and stopped exactly where I had been standing browsing, taking my place!! So I walked the long way round to get back in the aisle and continue my browsing and she immediately wanted to get past again. Grrr!

WAMT. Gravel bags not having the weight on the bag if they have coverage information or not having coverage information if they have the weight on so it's impossible to work out how much I need and how many bags I can carry at once. Telling me it is a 'large' bag and not specifying what a large bag is b****r all use to anyone. It's ridiculous How difficult can it be to include coverage and weight?!

I'd have thought weight would have to be a requirement by law, just so as you don't overladen a vehicle.

You'd think that wouldn't you? I tried zooming in on the product packaging but it's not even on that. Unless it is on the back of the bag. It seems rather an important bit of information to miss out.

I think this is the reason they don't put weight on the bags these days.
( far too worried about being prosecuted under the weights and measure law I guess  )
From the Wickes web site ( other building suppliers are available)
10mm Gravel is suitable for driveways, paths, borders and water features

  • Actual bag weighting may vary due to the level of moisture within the product
  • Coverage: Major bag approximately covers a 1m x 0.35m space as a fine concrete mix or 1m x 0.4m space as a top dressing, both to a depth of 50mm
  • Package Type: Major Bag

They could put an average weight on it. I have literally no idea whether that bag is 20kg or 50kg or 500kg.
