What are the stats on your router? Also what about the BT speed tester, though with TT presumably using the LLU and their own exchange equipment the BT speed tester may not work???

If your router stats shown a good high connection speed with an indicatince SNR of dB figure showing you are decently close to the exchange there might be a speed profile mismatch. On that latter what does the TT portal show as your connection speed?

Figures and stats might make a case for writing to the TT CEO with your complaint?

That is from BT tester someone kindly sent me a link ages ago.
There is about 2.5 Km of cable, well fibre just recently, between me and the exchange.
and a couple of hundred meters from the cabinet.
Still waiting to be connected to fiber from there, there is a waiting list ( apparently)

I've no idea what that means, however they did send me a new router, I used to be on Tesco, with only the occasional issue, it was they took over the speeds dropped.
The router failed to connect and kept showing errors, they were not interested!
The line is capable of holding 2.5 mbs. after my first compliant it actually went up to over 3mbs, since then its just deteriorated. 0.18mbs is the lowest so far.

I'm sure Dildo does :D

I do and each and every time I get the same, there is nothing we can do, they even sent me a letter saying I should contact the ombudsman,
little do they know I have been in contact for about a week, I sent all the email exchanges, and the names of the people that I have been in contact with.
They now want to talk to me, not sure what that is all about though.

I'd be flippin' fuming.
That doesn't come close!

Edit, and that's the 4th time today that its dropped off!

Ditch them and move on, you can always upgrade when the option goes live.
But you may find some of the problems are due to being upgraded, remember getting
that here when tney first put us in fibre and again recently when tbe connection
was upgraded to faster speeds

No point in jumping out of the fire and possibly into the frying pan, ( getting stuck with an 18 month contract, ) until it goes live here.
I'll just keep emailing the CEO for now, she loves to see my name in her in box every morning :)

WAMT: Cold callers. Some scouse bird (only appropriate description) called this morning going about some all inclusive package holiday I had last year and that I was ill and are due for compensation. (I was thinking odd as a. I don't do package holidays b. wasn't ill, and c. how would she know that?). So I asked politely, but interrupting her mid-flow, why she is calling me? She went on some rant that if I wasn't such a f*****g idiot and would let her finish I would know and that she is only trying to help me. f*****g ungrateful c*** that I am. And then hung up.

Why do people work for companies like that? Surely they don't like those calls themselves? Are they really that stupid that they belief their own script more than the person they are talking to. I really would know if I had a package holiday and I got ill with food poising.

I never normally do it, but she was so rude and vile that I called them. Unfortunately I didn't get further than a full mail box, but what a bunch of idiots.

The Law Society should strike off anyone obtaining clients from these muppets. Would kill it in a stroke.

As my thanks I received three more of such calls this afternoon;
1 about investment opportunity - everyday they call, each day a different company name and always the same script. w******s
2 about an insurance review - they say it is time to review my life insurance. I tell them I have no contract with them so why would I discuss it and they react surprised. Tossers

I wish these people could be properly stopped and the people work their get a proper job rather then tricking and scamming people. No this is not telesales at all.

Yes you are too quick, just noticed that :) My Germanic background ;)

I live in a building of 5 flats. hardly anyone recycles and if they do it's usually not properly. I have a blue bin for food waste, which when its empty i store in my hallway (communual) as im at the end of the hallway it's not in anyones way. I use compostable bags and dont create that much food waste and only put it in this larger bin on collection day (from the kitchen caddy) so the bin in the hallway does not smell or contain food waste. I put it out the night before collection so i dont miss the collection and so the more gross job is done and in the morning i put out a black sack and a pink recycling sack. Last week when i took the blue bag in, it had bin juice at the bottom which i thought was weird as what i put in there was not liquidy, it wasnt much but enough to make the bin a bit gross, by this week i thought oh yes i better wash that out after this weeks collection. I put it out overnight as usual and this morning when i went to put my black bag out the lid was a bit open on my blue bin so i thought it had been collected to went to take it back in, instead i found that someone (i assume my newest neighbour who continually puts out stinking bags that he thinks will get recycled but are full of stuff that attracts flies) had put two bags of food waste in my bin complete with even more dripping stinking bin juice!! how f*cking rude! I am turning into Ms Meldrew living in this building, i cannot believe just how selfish and irresponsible people can be. I went and got latex gloves, removed the extra dripping stinking mess and put in on top of their black bag, i was going to dump it on the door step but envitably it will be ignored and then ill end up clearing it up anyway........ so now ill have to keep the box (which i dont like to keep insid emy flat as its small and its been outside) in my flat overnight on collection night instead of putting it out (and risk missing collection) to stop them putting stinking bin juice in it, wash it tonight when i get home (and gag) and hope that by storing it in my hallway it wont get other stuff dumped in it. Passive agressive note now left on front door as i dont know for sure who it was - said if they dont have a bin, call the council but please dont use mine.

I would NEVER do something like that, i know its only a bin but for christs sake, im not clearing up after htem, i'm not their maid!!

In our block of flats we store the recycling bags out the back and move them to the front of the building on collection day. I'm the only resident (out of 9) who moves them. If I'm away or forget, it doesn't get done.
Last week, one dopey resident put a leather handbag in the recycling!

I don't have your problem with the food recycling - I think I'm the only resident in our block who bothers.

Altho we are flats, we dont have a communal bins scheme (which im glad of cos they would all just contaminate it by putting wrong stuff in wrong bins) so we have our own food bin, and bags for recycling and non recycling. All mine is kept in my flat till collection day, altho others have black dustbin outside to put bags in, but i dont create that much to need one (cos i recycle).

such a dumb thing to get annoyed about but im not washing my bin out every week cos its full of their effluent! just so rude. i hate living here sometimes :-(

The following behaviour annoys me on many days, it is almost commonplace :(

At most service stations there are mini marts and a lot have allocated parking for shoppers use..........but there are inconsiderate folk who fall into one of two categories:-

A) they fill up with fuel and then go into the store but instead of paying and moving the car proceed to spend many extra minutes grocery shopping.

B) they pull up as if to fuel but just go into the shop for their groceries (NB variant of this is the driver stays in the car and the passenger goes shopping!)

It is about time the management/shop staff put a stop to this crass behaviour.

Sorry guilty of A. It's very simple to me, if the garage owners wouldn't want that they would have incorporated the market. Their whole business is to make you spend money. I bet they actually make more money from the super market ;)

Easy solution would be to not go to those kind of places or just chill :)

I'm with @Box Brownie on this, it annoys me too. parking spaces for shopping, but the pumps are 10 yards closer. Of course the lazy gits will park as close as possible
I *may* buy a drink and a sarnie ( also) total less than a fiver, but when I fill up its £50.

I'll bet you don't spend 10 minutes trying to decide between cheddar and pickle or wensleydale and chutney as well as another 10 wondering what the difference is between Coke Zero and Diet Coke - sarnie? Check! Drink? Check! Job done!

Breakfast sarnie and a monster (drink) usually works for me

I have no doubt the money is made on non-fuel purchases. It has long been 'claimed' that the margin for the filling station on fuel is razor thin.

Yes, if there is a queue to pay I will whizz past the sarnies & drink and grab what I need..........then join the queue to pay :)

For me it is only considerate to use and leave the pump as speedily as possible to clear it for the next customer. If I want to shop I will park to shop, do so and then fill up the fuel, it means going into pay twice ;) ...............I would never dream of blocking the use of the pump, perhaps my age & generation ~ though the way I have seen some of my generation behave leaves me speechless :(

It is scenario (B) that I find staggering, I have no idea what such folk are thinking to act so selfishly :thinking:

I don't queue to pay. I pay at pump or just fill up with a big fat electricity cable :)

I'm taking my time anyway filling up 90 liters. Getting a cup of coffee and a croissant is hardly a hardship for anyone else.

Of course not, but when people block a pump, just to go shopping and there is a queue for fuel then that is just down right inconsiderate.

Nothing wrong with filling up then shopping in the SHOP.
Pulling up to a pump just to shop (no fuel) deserves a slap.

I filled up the tank once, picked up a couple of bits in the shop, paid for the bits and drove away.

About an hour later it suddenly dawned on me that I hadn't paid for the £60 of petrol!!
Fearing that I was about to get my collar felt by the local gendarmerie, I hot footed it back to the petrol station and, grovelling, apologised profusely.

"Not a problem", she said, "Happens all the time".
Off she toddles with my reg number to go through the records. She was gone ages.
When she came back, she said that they couldn't accept payment because they couldn't find video of my car on the pump, and there was no record of missing "no pay" for £60.

Most odd.:wideyed:

I try to post in this one before the other so the other is higher up the page. Sometimes I fail and that annoys me... :P

WAMT was the 40MPH driver in (yup, you might have guessed!) a Jazz. Held me up on roads where it was unsafe to pass it then pulled away through 30 limits only for me to catch up the far side. Can only guess that they went through the 20MPH section at 40 as well...

AND, traffic coming back into town dropping the average MPG down from 20.1 to 18.7.

Nice one for you, I recon they need to sell 1,500 litres to overcome that clerical error ;)

Sounds like an example of good karma :)

The only similar example I had was getting cash across the counter at the bank, this was yonks ago, as I was walking off checking the count it £5 high! I went back and told the teller, who checked her till......telling me I must be mistaken. So I was £5 up that day :D

More likely some other poor sod who wasn't paying attention paid Ruth's bill. :)

I did think about that, but a) I tried to do the right thing, and b) I'm not sure how, since they can't reset the pump to dispense more fuel until the previous sale is cleared.

So, that being the case, possibly at the till the attendant said to the next customer "Pump 4, £60"?, and said customer, having just chucked £80 in the tank of his big Jag thought " oh yes, I'll have some of that ".

Me either, to be fair, but it would also explain why my fuel-up didn't flag as unpaid/driveaway when I returned.
