WAMT....what annoyed me today!

Wamt a Volkswagen dealer claiming that my front assist and automatic cruise control can't be repaired under warranty as it has to brake/intervene too many times in a short period of time. Wtf are they having a laugh? But then the service lady couldn't explain why and I better speak to the master mechanic. I better count to ten before I get there.

Volkswagen dealer telling me my two year old transporter needed new discs all round due to wear so not under warranty. I said I'd sort it myself thanks. It's now six years later it's done four mot's and not even had a mention. I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw them and couldn't throw them as far as I'd like.

Surely at worst it would just be a case of sensor replacement or perhaps a control unit. If it's under warranty, it's under warranty.

Unfortunately I have to get it sorted as the car is just over a year old, I've had it (leased) from new, and a light is on on the dashboard.

What's a sat nav?
I've got lazy in my old age ;)
I'd trunk country wide 44 ton tri-axle with just a street map,
Those were the good old days, (y)
No such thing as Google maps or mobile phones then. ;)

Hardly ever gone wrong way, in over thirty years of motoring.
You're just a beginner :p

They say no replacement required, no broken parts. I knew that as I didn't crash into anything nor vice versa. They say the system deactivates after several activations and then will have to be realigned and recalibrated which is not a warranty job. We are talking about a £450 alignment I am led to believe. Considering this is standard on my mk7 golfs something really stinks imo and the system is not fit for purpose if it disables within 17K miles from new.

Built in self destruct like a lot of things these days ;)

You know who I blame :p

Seriously though if it is limited use then it should be clearly labelled imo. And have an ability to switch it off by default. But know it always resorts to being on. I also would guess that if I was in a collision the insurance company would drown in having the system switched off.

Nearly there, got to count to ten :)

Oops make that £560 instead. Hmm I've "convinced" to escalate to VW UK technical for warranty as this can't be right.

I'd also be having a word with the lease company too.

If I don't get anywhere with VW and the Dealer I most definitely will. Good advise.

Ask me, Ask me, ooo I know I know, ask me :D
Get back under your rock you, it was VW and that's the end of it, He's just getting his PM's confused with the royal family.;)

Nothing to do with the royal family, although if she had had her way ;)

So when do you start taking the hint. Come on, I thought you were cleverer than that :p

The Kent rebels shall take France by force!

Watch out for the pimpernel ;)

Not too worried about that....more worried about getting across the channel!! :runaway::runaway::runaway:
Also watch out for the sea gulls and that they don't mistake you for a migrant.

There are a lot of migrants there we could take home :p

What really annoyed me on Monday (not today)

Where I work we do half days on a Friday, meaning we can leave at midday if we are in early enough.
At 12:05pm I get an E-Mail request to do some urgent work which I promptly ignore because a) I'm doing something else urgent and b) its 12:05!

When I get in on Monday there is another E-Mail sent at 08:05 from the same person asking for the same work but now addressed to my boss and copied to me!

:mad::mad::mad::mad:

Is that on the Northern coast, I'm not familier with it :D

Oh and BTW keep sending the froggy lorries to the rear of the queue once Calais opens again,
and give each one a bill say for £1,000's ( yes that pounds none of that foreign muck! ) or they don't get home,
for all the extra Police etc that's needed to deal with the mess.
that should p*** 'em off

I was just considering popping to France to administer a little facial ballistic trauma.
After all it's not the truckers fault.
