Back out for another big adventure. It was an absolute epic. 19 miles, 1240 metres of ascent over 13 hours, over the Fisherfield Munros of Sgùrr Bàn and Mullach Coire Mhic Fhearchair.
Early morning start heading off down the track to Loch a' Bhraoin

Cracking view of Mullach Coire Mhic Fhearchair in the centre and the slopes we'll return down much later
rx 05614 20250620

Having rounded the shoulder under Creag Rainich we drop down into the glen which widens out and follow the faint path across lovely dry grass to Loch an Nid.
Sgùrr Bàn is the grey peak top left, then the knoll of Meallan an Laoigh and on the ridge to the right is the demoted Munro, now Corbett of Beinn a' Chlaidheimh
rx 05626 20250620

We crossed the outflow of Loch an Nid at the north end and headed up the slope towards the col between Sgùrr Bàn and Beinn a' Chlaidheimh. An Teallach also making an appearance.

Skye got a good drink at the lochan on the col.
rx 05698 20250620

Then there was a lot of rough quartzite boulders...
rx 05721 20250620

... to get up to the summit of Sgùrr Bàn.
rx 05742 20250620

Mullach Coire Mhic Fhearchair and it's east top to the left, from Sgùrr Bàn. Beinn Eighe just visible on the right.
