Daily T's 365 challenge..... Life begins at 40......

Definitely!!! Got an upgrade to ff (5D) and new lens (35mm f2) coming in February and 50mm 1.4/85mm 1.8 in March which is going to bleed me dry haha :shake: vs  !!

5D???? oh a dream for me at the moment unless I win the lottery which isnt going to happen if i dont play the damn thing  All I need now is a cable release and I think that should be it ....... for now ..... until I see something else I want :( Guess Id better start emptying my wardrobe and getting them on ebay for extra funds :)

The original 5D.. which I think can be picked up for £400~ here/ebay.. I'll need to stock up on CF cards (wished I hadn't gotten rid of all mine when I went from the 350D to 500D!). I really want a tripod and wireless shutter release too but can't get wireless for the 5D unless I also buy some really expensive contraption too... at least that's what I've gleamed from my searches!

Day 9 and i would like to throw my laptop out of the window... stamp on it... drive over it and anything else it warrants!.......

It was for once a sunny day today so out i go thinking 'YES'.... pop to Ravensthorpe Reservoir because it's always nice down there.... get some shots come home and have a little look and edit.......Alls good!........

In the meantime i've been having lots of problems with laptop, i don't have an external hard drive as yet, i know they're not all that much but there is always something else kids need and they have to come first..... but lappy is constantly running in the red so i have to delete most of my work lately..... ..

Except somehow i managed to delete half of the photos i took today..:bonk::bang::bonk::bang:

So tonights shot is now not what i had originally planned but a last minute pick of what few were left!......... and i am tired so i'm sure i have probably missed loads of real silly bits too

Anyway guess what....... day 10 tomoz.... double figures woohoo!!:woot::woot::woot:

Opps and an edit because i forgot to add photo!... doh!:bonk:

Very nice!.....although all your shots are very good, some, like this one, stand out more for me....
Not sure why you processed it the way you did, and, I think I'd prefer to see it in colour...but a great shot anyway...

Lovely image, the silhouettes are just splendid! Nice work

Aww cheers Conor:thumbs:

Sorry to learn of your issues :( bit I do think that you've still come away from it with a cracking image

Thanks Matt it won't beat me lol!.. glad you like:D

Trace I love the monochrome of day 9 , chin up , great work

Computers are a nightmare aren't they!.. Thanks Vince!:)

Really nice, and the colour tinge really suits it

I do love my mono shots... it does look good in colour tho too if he sun is out.. thank you!:D

T...love the pond! love the tone!

Cheers ma dear:D

Not much wrong with that T, good stuff.

Thank you Phil... not my original but this place is rather lovely

Thanks Lee.... well if i'm honest there are 2 reasons for it being this tone, first was it was getting late and i find mono easier to work with, so basically i was tired and had been at the laptop for ages.... 2nd reason is i have this place in colour on both my fb and flickr and i guess i didn't want to feel like i was doing the same shot... tho the other doesn't have the ducks in.................... a quick edit in colour here

Ps it was also terribly under exposed too...:D

Admittedly, I find mono easier to work with as well.... but, I'm realising that it often takes something away from some images....
This colour one is much more pleasing than the mono one...thanks for posting it as well...

Thanks Lee I appreciate your feedback! Most people I know prefer working in colour but I struggle more, maybe fear of making something too vibrant maybe.... :-)

Not easy shooting dead into the sun, I prefer the mono version.

No it's not, it was very under exposed but at if rather that than a blown sky!

Thank you!

So now we are in double figures... yay!... although along way now for the triple figure milestone...:D

For me today was a lovely day for photos.... because it was foggy and i just love fog shots... well unless of course its thick fog because then you can't see anything.... hmmmmm maybe not so bad a blank white screen hehehe!...

I started of at the canal but i was on the wrong side:bonk: so only got a couple of shots so i moved to the next location ( deserted playground) which i got what i wanted..........

BUT...................

On the way back home i spotted this so now i think the other shots i took today i may have to go back and re get them for another day..typical isn't it... one day we struggle to have inspiration or time for planning etc and then another day we have far to many to choose from:D

So here we go a foggy treeline for day 10

Beautiful :) we had fog this morning but gone fairly quickly and it was too thick yesterday :(

Nice shot Trace...

Thank you muchly Lee:D

Thank you carol.. yes it can be too thick and in a lot of places here because it's countryside it was... so a full landscape would have been impossible... lonely trees in the fog are my fav.. so i'm hoping for some more lol:D

Cracking shot there T ... Great lead in. Beautiful soft mist and the double tree line..

Thanks Kev.... you can't beat a double tree line!

You posted late last night! I actually prefer the colour version of the photo so thanks for sharing both with us! :)

I really love todays and it actually evokes a lot of memories for me. Not for where it was taken as I have no idea, but our parents live very close to a golf course/local parkland and there was a long driveway very similar to this to get to the hall. My sister and I would go there all the time and your photo (minus the tree in the middle right at the end) really reminds me of those days! Plus, it's a fantastic photo anyway! :)

Love this. I've always loved images of roads leading into the distance or going round a corner, with trees especially - you wonder where it's leading to. The gig adds to that. Great image.

Oh that's really nice T. The fog really makes it. Well spotted.

Phil

Oh yes, I very like an avenue of trees.

Would be interesting to feature this in other seasons and weather in your 365

Thank you!... that tree in the middle is giving me grief, it's the only part i don't like and wish it was just fog..... this is just outside Northants, but i love seeing photos that remind me of things:D

Me too!... Thank you!

Thank you Sarah that's a mighty fine idea.. i shall definitely be popping back here

As I said on facebook earlier I love it  and think that it works really well

Thank you Matt... I'll try the mono version too

Once again great work Trace !!

Awww Thanks muchly Vince!

I love fog shots! And being anti-OCD I absolutely love the tree at the end of the path! Especially the fact it has both broached the path yet it's still just slightly off the centre of the path. Excellent shot! :)

Like this one very much Trace, but I know how you must feel about the tree, I reckon if you go back on an even foggier day it would disappear. Where abouts was this taken?
Thank you!!!
I hope so because my ps skills aren't that good lol!!!.... It's in yelvertoft just down the road from me

I told you how I feel about this one last night but I really do love it. It's beautiful.

You did and thank you again Toni:-D

So today we have my first attempt at using light..... i had fun but boy do i need to learn to write backwards.......... seriously how hard??!!!!....now i want to do more!! woohoo

I was going to use this as just a little added extra but seeing as it's so late and Lightroom won't load my shots for today... this is it!

My fun shot for today............

Day 11/356.....Light writing 1st attempt.... by Cg_girl, on Flickr

Catching up T and some cracking shots over the past couple of days :).

The reservoir pics are brilliant, for me I'm preferring the colour version.

The foggy tree lined lane, again a gorgeous pic, and wouldn't mind seeing a mono version of that.

Loving your light drawing shots too. This is somethin I'd like to have a go at too, but hopeless at writing backwards hehehe.

Good try! I tried it once... it was blurry and half the letters were back to front
