Daily T's 365 challenge..... Life begins at 40......

Oh, and good work on dealing with the glasses. A lot of people "cheat" by taking the glass out of the frames. Well done on getting around this without "cheating" :)

Lovely SP, the bokeh background is delicious and :clap: for complete lack of reflection in the specs. I usually take mine off for this very reason :lol:

Great shot! And echoing the others RE: the glasses! From my 2 selfies, you wouldn't think I was an "all the time" glasses wearer... figured I'd figure out getting round that once I'd figured out getting around a self portrait in general :lol:
 
You definitely look a bit friendlier in this shot than you did in your wet hair one T.
Nice work indeed, im going to avoid these self portraits as long as possible.
 
I love how you have the sparkle in your eyes - hard to do in a SP. That totally makes the shot for me. :D
 
I would leave a comment T ... But...it (whisper) says to sssshhh..... I still haven't got the hang of nice . pleasant expressions in my selfies ... Great use of natural light too :thumbs:
 
10/10 on the idea and execution...

Processing is almost for me SPOT ON - just a very tinge of green perhaps? I would just like to see the image ever so slightly warmed up a bit...
I can take this down if you like....

THanks Tezz. you should!.... not saying its easy tho lol... i feel rather robotic standing infront, but i did promise my self to keep at them... and it means learning so much more with the camera too!

Thanks Toni! i have to say the selfies are tough going with getting focus set and stuff but it's a good way to learn and practice.... the glasses.... nightmare arent they. so i was surprised i managed this one... usually its a put on takeoff every 2 seconds so was nice to actually see what i was doing this time lol!!:lol::lol:

Excellent Jeff i like that..... you are right there was a little bit too much green tinge.. i wanted an almost vintage effect but i just can't master it yet..... trying to tone the green resulted in going away from what i was after but this is nice!!:thumbs:
 
Well guys as the title says today is my last day of the 30's..... big birthday tomoz:(:(:( am i bothered........ maybe a little!

But anyway on to todays photos... couldn't decide so there's a few lol... woke up to a little bit of snow, my youngest got very excited and by 7:30 am he was outside with his elder brother before he went to college!..... i was surprised to see tho by half 9 it start to snow again and didn't stop until just before 2pm!


Couldn't stay out long tho as the camera was getting a little wet!

These are all very good Trace.... I like the conversion to black and white...
Number 1, I like how you took it, although, the branch is a little distracting that appears from the right....
I like number 2, just because it's a bit wacky....and, 3 and 4 are nice scenes....
Of all of them, I like 1 and 2.
 
Love the lines in #1, also liking #3

But #1 tops it I think.
 
Tyre treads do it for me T... But I do think it might have benefited from you getting a lower viewpoint.... ;) ....so we're much more top..of the treads.. :)
 
May I be as bold to add ... That number one has brilliant lead in lines making great use of the fence....but...I do feel it can benefit from more field to the right .... Smooth soft warm snow...Mmmmm

Well yes normally I would go lower but seeing as I was in the middle of the road I didn't think it wise to get too comfortable!....
Number one I couldn't get anymore of the field even tho I would have liked too, there was hundreds of dirty brown sheep in the way :-D

Thank you Lee! Most were pretty much blackandwhite any way so just lowered a little!

I think the branch wouldn't have been so noticeable if I could have got more field to the right but there was too many dirty sheep that spoilt it

Trace, no.1 is just sublime. Love the comp and you've metered the snow superbly hun :thumbs:. Oh and happy birthday for tomorrow, enjoy it :)
