Tour de France

could be an interesting stage today, quick painfull climb then a lot of fast action, might be one for the sprinters but wonder if froome might fancy this.
Althought I think he will wait for the big climb on Thursday.

Think the main GC mob will try to have an easy day today, agree about saving it for Thursday

Well I think Cavendish wins quote of the day with "Oi! I was taking a p***. You w****r!"

Gotta wonder what goes on in Peter Sagan's brain though - breakaways used to pack it in if he joined up but now they're queuing up for his rear wheel:(

yeah he had a bad day yesterday, led for 10kms at the front and then finished last.

cracking finish today, almost thought frrome was going to go for the win.
looking forward to the hill tomorrow even if they have cut it short.

Yellow Jersey presentation delayed whilst a jury considers the evidence - it would be logical to repeat the Adam Yates 1km marker crash result and take the timings from the moment of the crash.

utterly ridiculous. they have to neutralise that result surely.
Would hope so but will be interesting if they don`t. There will be a few people reading the rule book right at this moment, and maybe there will be different interpretations of the rules.

if they did uphold the result I would love Froome to smash the TT and rest of the stages and come back.

bit of a tall ask but would be awesome.

hopefully the jury taking a while to decide is a good thing though.

farcical, but you see it every year on the mountain stages .......... some fans, and it is not just a few are complete idiots

In previous years I was never been a Froome supporter ........ but I see his unique skills this year and he has my complete sympathy

If the results stand the riders should protest - logically they should get Bauke Mollema's time

Rather than fining rider, allow them to punch - might get a little bit of respect.

Okay, joking, but something must change. Did anyone see the guy with the Majka placard? Even AFTER the crash when bikes were trying to get going he was still jumping in front. Some people....

Glad the result seems to have been resolved. Frankly I think Froome would have won it anyway even if he had been left in sixth (he's looked way stronger than anyone else), but it would be a total farce to leave like that.

Exactly what I think

Just saw that idiot on the highlight show. What are they trying to achieve?

The booing of Froome getting the Jersey too..

strange result today and a bit peed off, i hung on to just watch the highlights @7pm and old t*** face dropped the cat out the bag straight away, bloody blimey...

anyhoo good result considering all the drunk muppets,

16km worth of 'holiday party mood' spectators crammed into 10km... Not really a surprise it got a little hairy...

They've been up on ventoux for the past 3 days or more for this stage, not excusing them, but simply saying it's not tough to foresee it...

I'm not sure whether it is true but one estimate put the crowds at 400,000!

TT today - I can't see Quintana getting away with hanging on to a motorbike on this stage.:D

Poor show for cycling with the death of Chris Boardmans mum in a hit and run in Wales :-(

Poor show for cycling with the death of Chris Boardmans mum in a hit and run in Wales :-(

It is very sad Paul and a complete tragedy but I think that it was an accident that occurred at a roundabout in N Wales between Chris's mum and a pick up, a L200

The roads are so dangerous these days and cyclists are in constant danger, but I do not think that it was a "hit and run" just a tragic accident

It is just difficult to get motorists to "Think Bike" and be more aware ... and it many cases motorists just do not see cycles or motorbikes, (I say this as one who rode a motorcycle for quite a few years) .... I am not sure what the answer is?

The vehicle didn't stop and police are appealing so it kind of is a hit and run I think at this stage of the investigation.

But I know what you mean as some one who was very badly injured in a similar accident about 15 years ago now I will only ride on the roads in groups..

tricky stage today in Berne, crikey those legs must be tired its been for me just watching one of the toughest for years.

I dunno - I do know that Carlton Reid and Chris Boardman have worked together on a number of projects, including a couple of bike safety videos... so, could be making assumptions, or could have additional "friends insight..." - pointless speculating really, but if it was just a misplaced assumption, then I think they'd probably have edited the article by now...

either way, it's an awful subject, and not something I want to detract from by petty squabbling about wording of articles. I simply presented the information from where I first read it
