Seeing as you banned me for three days for not disclosing (Virus thread in Hot Topics) which staff member broke lockdown rules before Christmas, well I am now back and you will be glad to know it was yourself and your good lady wife that broke lockdown.
UK Government Update – 4 November
Legislation for Lockdown 2 in England published
The regulations for the second lockdown in England, due to come into force at 00:01 on Thursday 5 November, have been laid before Parliament under the Public Health (Control of Disease) Act 1984.
The key sections of the legislation for automotive businesses are:
- Page 31; Point 26: Closure of ‘Showrooms and other premises, including outdoor areas, used for the sale or hire of caravans, boats or any vehicle which can be propelled by mechanical means, and car washes’.
You had already posted earlier on page 1 of this thread that you knew car dealers weren't open due to lockdown.
Because car sales are considered non essential, the only way you can buy a car, new or
second hand from a dealership is online. You can then go and collect the car or the dealership delivers it for you.
You aren't allowed to go to dealerships to view cars or have test drives. It is solely click and collect or click and delivery. Payment or deposit paid and paperwork signed online (email) only. All that changes hands is the keys.
So now you and everyone who cares to read this post knows.
(Until you or another staff member deletes my post and I daresay bans me for good)
