Much more worrying is the amount of people who are now choosing to ignore social distancing rules following last weekend protests & violence.
These very same people will be quick to place the blame elsewhere should a second wave hit.

Much as those will choose to blame protestors but ignore people going to the beach, VE day parties and the morons in front of the cenotaph yesterday?

What I sit here questioning is why you can't appreciate something can remain factual but be completely biased! Surely you can see that producing ONLY the facts that back up your agenda and omitting other facts then a very biased reporting of something is produced.
............and , No - the media should remain impartial not just produce facts that give a political bias - if you can't appreciate that then your opinion is always going to follow that bias and there is little point entering a debate.

Edit to add:

If you read reviews of cameras, at the end it will quite often give the 'Pro's & Con's' of the product. If you produced only the 'Pro's' you have remained factual but have given a very biased view point.
41,662 (614 per million).

argue all you like ,just thank the lucky stars you dont live in still locked down Wales . with a fuerher that is not only a dodderer but will not budge a inch , going to be a lot of bankruptcies coming soon over here

like the amazon reviews might as well read the beano and dandy
Not sure about that, I don’t have your knowledge of Beano & Dandy but the Amazon reviews can be very helpful/informative if one engages brain while reading, much like any other.

Apparently 6000 people attended two illegal raves in Manchester

This is from a member who;
(1) refuses to condone the mass protests in the Country
(2) Rambles on for 15 pages about one person who 'MAY' have broken the lock down rules
(3) Doesn't mention the Labour MP's who broke the lock down rules
(4) Doesn't criticise the criminal acts of pulling down statues by a mob
(5) Doesn't see a problem with Graffiti
(6) Is clearly ashamed to be associated with Britain and it's History

I think there are serious questions over values and ethics

The Labour whip who broke the rules resigned her post as a whip - so story ends... nothing like Cummings.

Much as those will choose to blame protestors but ignore people going to the beach, VE day parties and the morons in front of the cenotaph yesterday?

I'm pretty sure the beach goers and the VE parties were criticised by the media for breaking the rules whereas they almost celebrated last weeks protests & violence which led to the disgraceful scenes we saw yesterday,

The Labour whip who broke the rules resigned her post as a whip - so story ends... nothing like Cummings.

I'm not sure it a valid comparison.
If you look at all the MP's that have blatantly ignored the rules they made, none of them have actually lost their job and neither has their respective leaders called for them to go either.
By contrast these same people have been calling for Cummings to go for a possible minor infraction.......that's it! Zero consistency. Hypocrites, the lot of 'em!

Rasputin should have gone, no ifs or buts.
Second only in my dislike list to IBS who won't shut up about reducing the social distance measurement to 1m
Exactly how is this costing him money, must be substantial because he whinges about it every day.

What I don't understand is all the outrage from people that are planning ( and still hoping to go to) holidays abroad.

I'm hoping to go somewhere abroad later this year if circumstances allow.
Don't see what that has to do with thinking that going on a 250 mile round trip to s*** on a beach is wrong

The Labour whip who broke the rules resigned her post as a whip - so story ends... nothing like Cummings.

I hadn't noticed the by election for Stephen Kinnocks resignation - appologies.

You are correct though; one is just an advisor where as the others are elected people in public office.

I must have missed that bit, where someone went 250 miles to s*** on a beach? couldn't they have done that at home? or in one of the service stations that must have passed?

I see going to an airport & getting on a confined tin can very wrong at this time and foreseeable future TBH.
Yes there is air conditioning on aircraft but I doubt that its efficient enough to take out a potential 120-160nm virus

It'll be a very long time before I get back on a plane.

Agree, getting on a plane at present probably isn't wise, I have re-booked for later next year, if when that time comes it's still looking ropey I'll book another 12 months further.

And that's the sensible approach IMO (y)
Not busting a gut to get "somewhere" this year / this summer

I'm hoping to get to Lille on the Eurostar then travel by rail to nearby cities such as Amiens and Arras.
Either that or Paris if travel is permitted, ideally would make it to Germany again by rail.
Very rarely fly these days and international train travel is no different than going for work or leisure in the UK
In fact probably safer because all seats have to be booked so distancing is easier to implement

The beach bit was Durdle Door, people travelled from as far as London for the day.
Crazy considering they knew no facilities including toilets were open, this meant the inevitable happened.
Locals found crap all over the show including used food containers and buried in the sand

This is what happens when you get it right 76 days after introducing lockdown.

All borders and entry ports of New Zealand were closed to all non-residents at 11:59 pm on 19 March 2020, with returning citizens and residents being required to self-isolate. Since 10 April, all New Zealanders returning from overseas must go into two weeks of supervised quarantine.

New Zealand went into level four lockdown on 25 March with 283 cases of coronavirus and 0 deaths, four days after a countrywide system was introduced to deal with the threat of the pandemic. The full lockdown saw the cancellation of sports matches as well as all non-essential services including pubs, bars, cafes, pools and playgrounds ordered to close.

The country went down to alert level three on 28 April. This allowed people to recommence such pursuits as fishing and swimming, while work restrictions were eased and early years childcare re-opened, with schools also allowed to open up to Year 10 on a voluntary basis. Restaurants and cafes were also allowed to re-open for takeaway only, while weddings and funerals with up to 10 guests were permitted.

The country reached alert level two on 13 May, with bars allowed to re-open from 21 May, schools re-opening and private gatherings of more than 10 people allowed – with social distancing measures still being adhered to

The lowest alert level, level one, was introduced from midnight on the 8th June with 1504 cases in total and 22 deaths it lifts all restrictions on normal life, including mass gatherings – but the border remains closed to most international travel, with a 14-day quarantine in place for arrivals.

By contrast when you get it totally wrong 84 days and counting.

20 March 2020 Boris Johnson orders all pubs, cafes, restaurants, bars and gyms to close.

23 March 2020 The prime minister announces a nationwide lockdown with 6650 cases of coronavirus and 359 deaths. Quarantine put in place for the first few returning flights in February then quietly dropped an estimated 20 million people arrived into the country over the next few months.

22 April 2020 The government makes a number of changes to the lockdown regulations in England without warning. The key change is that it is no longer unlawful to only leave the place you’re living without a reasonable excuse – but to be outside of your place of residence at all without a reasonable excuse.

10 May 2020 Boris Johnson sets out a three-step “conditional” plan to begin easing lockdown restrictions.
At this point England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland diverge.
In step one, Johnson said that those who cannot work from home, such as construction workers, “should be actively encouraged to go to work” from Monday but really meant Wednesday.
He also encouraged the public to take “more and even unlimited amounts of outdoor exercise” from Wednesday, while continuing to maintain physical distancing.

1 June schools should begin to open for more children in early years, Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 classes from this date.
Secondary schools and further education colleges should also prepare to begin some face-to-face contact with Year 10 and 12 pupils who have exams next year.
The Government’s ambition is for all primary school children to return to school for a month before the summer holiday if possible, pretty much abandoned now.

8 June, some people arriving in the UK must self-isolate for 14 days, the list of exemptions is quite extensive.

15 June non-essential shops will be allowed to reopen in England.

So far officially 294,375 cases of coronavirus and 41,662 deaths.

I'm hoping to get to Lille on the Eurostar then travel by rail to nearby cities such as Amiens and Arras.
Either that or Paris if travel is permitted, ideally would make it to Germany again by rail.
Its still a confines space and somewhere that I'll be avoiding like the errr plague
Not that I travel by rail, hardly if ever these days, and since many years past.

Fair comment, I travel all over Europe by train, one of those people who has the travel bug.
Can't wait for borders to open, already cancelled three holidays this year (Munich/Nuremberg, Stuttgart and Enkhuizen)
Hoping to get the go ahead for Autumn so might have to try the UK this summer, wouldn't usually be my first choice

Agreed on the disgusting bit.

IMO NZ did a great job of getting through the virus, so hands up to them all.

..............and for the umpteenth time comparing Countries is a completely futile excercise!
Not completely futile. We're both island nations and I'm sure if we'd closed our borders like they did, we'd have far fewer deaths, and if they'd responded like we did, they'd have a lot more.
I'm sure you'd agree if you could remove your tory hat for a few seconds.
