Great graphics in the article, made me feel ill just looking at them :(.

At least the Greeks are getting things moving! Brothels now allowed to open with these restrictions!

Visits are limited to 15 minutes per customer, with masks recommended for workers and clients.
Doors and windows should be kept open to allow fresh air in, payment should only be by card and not by cash, and businesses should keep a list of clients - along with their names and phone numbers - in a sealed envelope for four weeks, in case authorities need to trace infections.

Am guessing that anyone with a medical fetish should be loving it!

Come on Boris, sort it out :D

Student nurses were asked to work on the front line, in paid positions despite not being fully qualified (3rd year, the 6 months work would take them up to being qualified)

As it was paid, many took this offer up, many quit the jobs they already had, in order to start working as a nurse during this crisis.

The govt has now changed the contracts to unpaid as of the end of July.

Private schools set to ignore Government and open in September 'come what may'

Basically the most prestigious fee-paying institutions are setting up their own track and trace systems. The governor at one of the country's leading private schools said "There is no confidence left in the Government, given their failed promises. All schools should do the same."

The Premier League is starting today and during the eight rounds the premier league players and staff will be tested for coronavirus twice weekly.

Is a twice weekly test available anyone else?

Absolutely disgusting if true, how are the government and their defenders going to spin this one.

Yes if they pay for it privately they can be tested as often as they like.

To be fair, they've been having a tough time of it, with all their gear being diverted to the NHS.

So private schools want to rake some cash in at the expense of everything else.
Good training for the future Tories they will churn out from their useless prat production line

Since COVID-19 virus can be found in faeces
I wasn't aware of that TBH, which make's what I saw earlier today, even more bizarre.
I was washing my hands in an "on site" Gents.
A guy came out of "the stalls" I thought he was about to wash his hands, instead he filled his hand with water took a drink and ran the rest around his face and head.
I was just leaving at that point, as to whether he washed his paws after I've no idea ....

Continuing my faecal theme :) I see the Chinese have woken up to what I’ve always known as the “Floral Fountain” — the about 6 ft high (can’t remember the height) fountain of droplets/aerosol that rises up each time you flush the loo with the lid up coating your toothbrush etc with bugs :(. They are calling it a “plume”.

TBH I’m not too surprised about the Chinese (I guess flushing loos are a bit recent there) but I read that Americans are also waking up to it which I find a bit surprising.

Droplets, that's been known about for years, as you know, but I thought it was spread rather than height, once they ( easily) left the bowl. but I'll stand to be corrected, on that.
As an average bathroom isn't very big, it's not only toothbrushes that'll get covered of course. Face cloths towels and even floor coverings as it settles.
People walk in to a bathroom bare foot or getting out of a shower / bath etc bare foot and then walking around the house....

At least most sensible people take precautions ...

Barefoot or shod - makes no difference, they'll still spread the bacteria/viruses if they're present. A healthy immune system can cope with most of the crap that's floating around, it's the "novel" viruses etc. that can cause the problems.

The karzi at the golf centre seems to be at the far end of the hot water system so takes a minute to get hot. Quite telling that I almost always have to let it run for a while to get hot, even when following other people's recent visits.

Where i used to work (and I believe its a common thing with IT people/developers) is that they walk around in socks all day, including the loos!!! :puke:

Well yes and no, virus's find it easier to enter the body through "broken skin" but treading it around of course is easy either bare foot or shod.

I've always thought the "IT Crowd" were odd, that proves it :D

As a developer for 35 years I admit that I always walked around in socks... ...but I did have shoes over them! :naughty:

I used to work in IT, and yes, there were a large number of people who didn't wear shoes in the office, it was odd! I was tempted to leave a few drawing pins laying around.

I've never seen anyone walk around an office sans shoes. I must have worked in the wrong places! :wideyed:

I knew a guy who was a nurse in an institution for the criminally insane. At night the nursing staff used to walk about in socks so that they could silently approach cell doors in order to look through the spy holes without the inmates noticing. Some of the nutters were not stupid, but were very devious. They used to p*** under the doors so that the nurses stood in urine.

Probably unlikely in U.K. , but hookworm :).

Under the heading of things that have “been known about for years” how come ”nobody” knows about taking Vitamin D if you don’t get outdoors much, cover yourself up or have a dark skin?

Now we have UK ministers order urgent vitamin D coronavirus review” Why not just tell everyone to take it unless there are contra-indications in their case?

I have a new, ( now promoted to ) regional manager at work. who has a fraction of my experience,
I often have cause to say, "Don't p*** down my back and tell me its raining"

Sound familiar ? ;)

I do think it’s possibly excusable in this case given which drug it is etc and the current situation.

The best thing about being a contractor with an in-demand skill set was being able to say, in all honesty, "if you want me to b****r off you're going the right way about it". I only had to do it 3 times in 60 jobs and I was only taken up on my offer once. To be fair though I seem to have been very lucky and liked most of the people I worked for and with.

I agree, as I think it will be USA then us and China with the worst in the world, but sadly the true death toll will never come out.

I think you'll find Brazil is worse then us and rising fast
