Human connection bolsters the immune system.
”Studies have revealed that human connection — something as simple as getting an offer of help from a stranger or looking at a picture of someone you love — can ease pain and reduce physical symptoms of stress. People who feel supported by their social networks are more likely to live longer.”

I hate to say thisbut maybe we should listen to the Mods and be nice to each other here
.
The article goes to a paywall for me, but I do recall previously (and recently) reading something about how viruses, or perhaps some of them, live or reside dormant in your nervous system? Therefore, getting stressed can be nothing short of exactly what viruses want as it allows them to reactivate or something?
Forgive me I know very little about the detail behind all of this, but something does ring a bell perhaps from some document I came across. I suppose there may be some truth in it hence why when some people get stressed cold sores (ala herpes virus) suddenly appear?
I remember watching that Bill Gates interview and I do think he has a point. We all spend insane amounts of money on defence against nuclear and conventional war, yet it's the unseen which will probably end up being the dominant threat against the human race. Apparently, it would only take a very small percentage of that defence budget to effectively prepare us against things like COVID-19.
