The TP Weight Loss thread 2008

Right, you've all cheered me up now! :)
I've had a good day today as far as food goes, haven't done any excercise and probably won't tomorrow either, but after that I should have time for a quick visit to the gym for the following few days.
I absolutely do know that all I have to do is burn more calories than I eat but that 1lb just seemed to really bug me this morning.
I must admit I'd forgotten about the old "cycle" factor - now you've reminded me, Cowasaki, that will have influenced it too, which has also cheered me up (not going to allow it to be an excuse though!)
Have to stay on at work for a meeting tonight, so I've brought my veggie soup with me.....

People say that a lot when I say how much I weigh, but it's really deceptive because I'm short. I've gained a stone over about a year and it's all concentrated in one place, so I'm all out of proportion - two sizes bigger at the bottom than the top!
In any case, if I can be an incentive to anyone I'm delighted to be of assistance ;)

I have been putting together a booklet with all the calorie values of everything I eat (since 1st jan) plus several meals which I make (ignore the enchiladas recipe I haven't made it diet friendly YET). Included are THREE soups with full breakdown of all the ingredient calorie values and weights. If anyone wants it PM me with your email address and I will send it and send any updates later. The leak and potato soup is gorgeous as is the carrot. In fact the broccoli one is too - oh thats all of them! So far..... to be done ----- minestrone, veg, sweetcorn.......

Congrats to everyone doing so well, so far!

I was down to 20 2 1/4 the other day, but with the York meet on Sunday, I had a bit of a 'blow out' and that, coupled with my treats on Saturday night, I've ended up putting a lb on.

I'm not *too* fussed, as I'm factoring it into a fluctuation.

So at the moment

Start Weight : 20st 7lb
Current Weight : 20st 3lb

Current Weight Loss : 00st 04lb
Time Taken : 16 days
 
Also (and this is especially important for women) our body weights naturally fluctuate though the day and with women through your cycle.

Week 2

Lost 2lbs this week, taking my weight loss to 5lb in total now. Only another stone to go :lol: I'm feeling really pleased with my weight loss this week as I have found it a doddle and have stuck to eating healthily (3 balanced meals with lots of fruit for snacks). I half expected to have stayed the same or gained a few lb's as I'm at my, ahem, 'heaviest time'.

I fancied some chocolate last night, and had a Lindt chocolate truffle. It just tasted too sweet, greasy and not very pleasant. I had to have an orange to take the taste away :eek: What's happening to me? :eek:

In regards to the lindt thingy - I've always found those things too rich anyway I wouldn't get too worried about going off chocolate just yet - try some dairy milk next time :p

Quite looking forward to my weigh in on Sunday, my trousers are definately looser, so is my wedding ring.

:gag: Not too keen on Dairy Milk - now that does leave a greasy taste in my mouth. I also get a very antiseptic - like taste in my mouth as it's too milky (I'm very strange as I always get an antiseptic taste in my mouth if I eat dairy stuff :nuts:)
 
Week 2

I look forward to the weekends when me and Mrs Galaxy allow ourselves a bar of chocolate between us,( no not a 200g bar) and with me being a self confessed chocoholic doing without, I never realised chocolate ( Cadbury) could be soooooooooo tasty:nuts:

Oh and btw minimeeze well done:thumbs:

Must say i eat what i want all the time although sensibly, i dont go to the gym either.

Ive always played badminton and tennis as hobbies, love being outdoors gardening, walking, photography etc.

My opinion is that you should build exercise into your social sector, this is why going to the gym for some people results in failure as working out there requires willpower.

You dont need to run nor lift weights to get fit, just common sense together with the reason why you eat to much/little/irregular or the wrong things.

Well 2nd week on the diet complete. Seems to be going ok so far, feeling much better already what with the weight loss and excercising 3 times a week.

Wow, everyone is doing so well so pleased for everyone, my weigh in is tomorrow morning and a little worried this week after doing so well last week, oh well will have to wait and see.

Well my third week is up on monday. I have kept to 1400 or less (sometimes far less) calories a day since 2nd January (my limit is supposed to be 2200 but I would guess 1800 is more realistic) and have lost about 9lbs approx. Well just had my first treat. I had only had 42 calories all day then went out for an indian, Chicken tikka starter, chicken jalfrezie, mushroom pilou and garlic naan. washed down with a pint. I can only guess on the calories but think it should probably JUST fit into the 1800. Back to salad tomorrow (but I like salad!).

Well done everyone, there are some really good losses on here.
