I used to weigh 17.5 Stone and I suffered from a skin disorder, I was not a pretty sight I can say that honestly, And I say it without any worry because Hence the word USED - In one year ive turned my life around.
I was clinically classed as obese and I got down to 11.4 Stone in 5 months of hitting the gym... I lived and breathed the gym for 5 month, Focused on the goal of having a good body. My skin disorder cleared up as did my speech problem (due to lack of confidence) I lived quite the sheltered life. My confidence and inspiration from getting where I am now has pushed me to take up Photography, something Ive allways wanted to do.
I said one year, then I said 5 months, The other 5 months I slowed down on the cardio and the strength training, begun doing Endurance and eating more, Slowly replacing bodyfat% with muscle and Ive got a just visible 6 pack in a year along with nice peks to boot, Im naturally very broad however.
So yeah, Feel free to chat to me, I got ALOT of life experience in just my short ,turned 19 yesterday! years of my life. Dealt with alot of ****, and prevailed through naysayers who thought I'd never make a change.
It is possible, it just takes your heart and soul to achieve it, Going to the gym is NOT a chore, its a godamm pleasure to do, it relaxes me and relieves stress, I dont as such go to get bigger these days I just do it to chill out and relax. Also I eat bout 4,000 calories a day without gaining a pound, I actually was begining to become anorexic, Turns out I had a insane metabolic rate and due to this I went a bit overboard at one point, Lost a stone from my last weighing at 11.2 and went down to the low 10 stone, very very skinny for someone whos only 5.10Ft.
Last few month Ive been putting the weight back on and now im casually working out in my home gym, alot more practical, free weights beats resistance machines anyday.
PLEASE Remove this bit if its not allowed in the rules, im new to the forums and im unaware.
If you want CHEAP Protein powder and protein bars for on the go ect, Use
www.myprotein.co.uk - Dirt cheap compared to your high street sellers, Maximuscle protein powder in Holland and barret - 43£ for a bit tub... you get almost double for 12£ less or so.
Also I use their protein bars, 20 for 20£ 400 calories a bar with 25G of protein - Perfect for a snack (choco mint flavor

) or good to replace a meal if your out and about with nowhere nearby to eat at.
Also that site has forums with people who have been bodybuilding their entire life, and other people who used to be obese/o/w and have made fabulous progress - Good people and give excellent advice, dont be shy if you need advice from gym nuts.
Now I hope that wasnt a bit to much - But I know some people (infact MOST people) need a good inspirational advice or a good read of somone whos been there, done that to give them the push to know its worthwhile and it is possible.
One thing - DO NOT go doing 100 crunches a day and that [PLEASE DON'T TRY TO BYPASS THE SWEAR FILTER], its all BS Im a trained physiotherapist and sports massauer. Aswell as a gym goer myself, Ive tried all sorts of methods ect - when you reduce bodyfat, We ALL lose it in different areas first, then the next different to others, you can NOT focus on the stomach by doing stomach exercises, only increase the muscle size. Which wont show through, if you dont do proper routine/eating to reduce enough Bodyfat to actually make it show through.
DO NOT let yourself be scammed by these [PLEASE DON'T TRY TO BYPASS THE SWEAR FILTER] adverisements and crappy devices on TV like "Get a six pack in a month!" and crap, Believe me it takes time, patience, dedication and like I said, heart and soul.
Some people dont WANT a sixpack, and be ripped just want to be generally slim, to improve there fitness, the same applies, just dont over-do it
Hope that all helps,
Thanks for reading.
