The TP Weight Loss thread 2008

Well I'll join in but like Matt, im the opposite.

Hopped on a set of scales just before christmas and was 8st 8lb which is almost as light as i was after my jaw surgery. I was 10st 7lb last easter (heaviest i've ever been) and have problem keeping weight on as I tend to forget im hungry, I know this may sound very strange to some people but i honestly can go some days without actually eating and only realise at nighttime that i've yet to eat anything.

I've been trying to fix my sleeping pattern getting 3 solid meals a day at 'normal' mealtimes, now i just need to get motivated to go the gym...

Starting weight: 8stone 8lb
Current Weight: 9stone 1/4lb

I used to be the same as that when I worked for a living, I found it hard to stay above 10 1/2 stone. But after a few years of watching people work from a comfy chair and drinking far too much tea and coffee I'm struggling to get close to 12 1/2 stone :(

Ill join in on this one.

START WEIGHT: 22st 3lb
CURRENT WEIGHT: 22st 3lb

Keep you all posted.

Yeah thats partly my fear, I want to put on weight but I want to be able to stop it going on once i get the ball rolling. I was 9 1/2 stone for years then had the jaw op and dropped to 8 stone, once i started to put weight back on i ended up going up to 10 1/2 just before the summer when I started sailing again. Didnt jump on a set of scales untill recently and I noticed I was down to 8 stone 8lb's :help:.

Good Idea, 20 stones hope you have a wide angle:lol::lol:

I have, thanks...and it's sat here right next to my ban button. :bat:

Either that or I can sit on you.

I'm up for this too.

I need to loose A LOT of weight - have taken some before pics (which are staying firmly on my desktop) - I need to loose a min of 6 stone.

Its nice to know that friends on here will help support eachother.

As a closet environmentalist, I'm a little concerned that all this potential lost weight will end up in landfill sites.
Have any of you considered where it's going and what effect it might have on the rest of us?

I also envisage a need for you to set up a clothes swap shop. Targets of 2 stone or more are going to need a serious amount of wardrobe shuffling.

Alas I cannot join you as there's a 7.5kg tin of Cadbury's Roses waiting for me when I get home.Either way, I wish you all success.

Couldn't care less.

If being a fatty was a virus, I'd be mingling with strangers, and breathing all over them in the hope I got rid of it :D

That's right, I have no shame :D

Tbh you're best getting weighed at a similar time every week. Not daily [or few daily] as your weight and water weight fluctuates day by day and is different from morning to night. :)

On another site we have a weight loss thread, here is a table we use and each week you only have to modify your post to add the new weight, we use Wednesday as a midweek regular weigh day, unfortuneately for me it's after pub night
Current weight 14st 3lb which is 5lb less than
two weeks ago but still a bloody lot heavier
than my target for this year 2007

I've come to the conclusion that I'm crap at losing weight...

To weigh myself this is done first thing in the morning, minus clothing, after a number one and two, shower, and before any liquid intake.

Yeah I know, I was just amazed at how much dropped off in such a short time. 2 lb per week is a good steady rate and about what I achieved at WW. Slow and steady is the name of the game!

Can I suggest getting a dose of the flu, lose your appetite and you should lose weight. Before christmas I weighed in at 90kgs, Christmas day the flu started, weighed myself at the gym at work on Thursday and I'm down to 88kgs.
Only problem for me is I'm trying to put weight on. I do hope it was just body fat and not muscle I've lost. Mind you my abs were slightly visible, something I've never been able to achieve before.

On the way now....

Are we not just updating via continually editing our original post? (I assume that is possible) or were going to end up all over the place:shrug:

Feel free to post new posts. Forum permissions mean you can only edit your posts up until a certain amount of time anyway.

Thats why I formatted my weight loss bit the way I did, so you can repost it with new updated information, in a new post.

That is unfortunate Marcel as it would definitely have been easier to follow each others progress, especially yours:D

I think it'll be easier to keep an eye on new posts in the thread, and keep up to date that way, rather than searching through posts.

Also it keeps some sort of history too, rather than editing the original posts.

If anyone Is loosing determination and wishes for help, I will bring my trusted Chinese Taxi for you to run me around In.:D

Never thought of that Marcel, so yes we can follow the history your way, see who is slacking:bat:which you could not do the way I suggested,

Looking at pix of you it looks like you don't have much weight to lose to start of with:thinking:

Unless you are planning to disappear completely:shrug:
