The TP52 - 2026 The Sign-Up and Chat Thread - Week 14 Snappers Choice

Nice and drizzly here in spells - not what I expected

@AlanDorset @JayceeC - Quick reminder to have the week number (and tech if applicable) as part of your title in the main thread please :)
@Norkie - I'd be grateful if you could put the week number (tech if applicable) and theme as the title in the main thread to make it easier for me to update the challenge spreadsheet. I guessed that "Flooded Trader" is actually "Week 5 - Rainy day", but more obscure titles may exercise the old gray matter a bit too much ;)

I'm not waiting until 4 o'clock and Crackerjack (you had to be there), but I've been Looking Through the themes....

It's Friday, it's 5 to 5, it's CRACKERJAAAACK!'

I went to see that live at the BBC studios in London, many moons ago!

I thought it was 4 o'clock. Well, memory fades...

Is it Friday tomorrer? Is it? Huh? Huh? Is it??????????

#BounceBounceBounce!!!!! :banana::clap::banana:

Thanks for all your work organising the 52! How do I find out more about the techniques bit? We didn't have this when I last completed a 52 back in 2010!

@philthejuggler It's not difficult Phil, just use the current technique in any of your submitted weekly images during the two month period of the technique - so any image submitted in Jan or Fab should have the Framing technique employed. Obviously like all things in the 52, it's not obligatory to do the techniques but it adds a certain something to the challenge. The technique bit changes every two months. So you still have a couple of weeks to cover Framing if you haven't already done so by accident!

Edited to add: your "Broken" submission seems to cover the tech theme more than adequately!

Many thanks - how do I know what the current technique is? Sorry for being dense!

Fair question. I set the new technique in the first week of the two-month period, but if in doubt, go to here to see what is current and previous, and what may be coming.

Two freelance jobs tomorrow about an hour away. Shall be on puddle watch :)

I need inspiration to get back into photography ! Work commitments have taken the toll ! I am resulting to sorting my priorities out and taking some time to use the great equipment I have.
Is it too late to sign up for the 52 ?
Thanks Chris

Never too late Chris - jump right in with this wek's theme.

As Dave says, you can sign up any time but you can never leave !;):D

@chrispp have you done the 52 before?
If not, please have a read of the guides, it'll help with etiquette and how to do things.
If you have, what was your last year, so I can record you properly in the scrolls
Hi Tim, previous 52's

Got to week 34 in 2016 and week 26 in 2019

Been a disaster to be honest.

Got some time on my hands, so resurrection of the camera !

I've not managed to get anything for Reflections in Water so far. The weather and lack of time have been against me. I know the image I want, and where to get it, but I need a sunny (or slightly) day and to drive up into the mountains. Hopefully this weekend, failing which I'll have to think of something else. I've no idea what theme I'll be selecting tomorrow though...

Okie Dokie, updated
Hi Tim

Can I have a Tech Tick for my Week 1 shot please? I named it in my personal thread but not the main image thread. Now added :)

Ahead of the new theme reveal tomorrow, there is a Free ComicCon / Cosplay event at the Sidings (London Waterloo Station) on Saturday which may (or may not) work with the theme, and would allow you to get people shots if that's something you don't usually do.
If you do decide to, please abide by the ettiquette of asking before taking a photo.

NB. I have no idea what the event is going to be like. It's new (I won't be there, so it would be nice to hear how it went).

Maybe reflecting how I'm feeling this morning, the theme Vintage Objects was staring me in the face (in the mirror)...selfies permitted I guess, but also shoehorns of vintage/veteran cosplay ideas?

Hmmmmm should be seeing Concrete Bob today. 1965 I think - vintage for sure  :naughty::banana:

Did some research. VIntage = 30-100 years old. After that it's Antique!

I suspect the accuracy of the term need not be regarded as too strictly to be observed?
