“I’m sorry,” the doctor says, “you have a rare and very contagious disease.
We must quarantine you and you’ll only be fed processed cheese slices .”
“Will that cure me?” the patient asks.
“Well, no,” the doctor replies, “but it’s the only food that will fit under the door.”

As a scientist who finds superscripts awkward on many software systems (including the text editor on this website) I often default to the software developers variants. But I'm far from being anything but a user of software.
FWIW there would also be 25.26x10^12 (imagine the ^12 is simply superscript 12) for engineers.

That makes absolute sense, although as a biochemist I'd have used 2.53x10^13. :D

In the 'old' days when I had a programmable Casio calculator IIRC it would have been 2.53 E13. ;)

Surely you mean 426F72696E6721 (the hexadecimal rendering of your string)
Binary comes in handy if I'm counting on my fingers, but otherwise I'd prefer to leave it to software developers. When I did briefly study machine code we used hexadecimal to simplify the interface.
