The GAS confessional - all who suffer are welcome. :)

My long lusted after Nikon DF with 50mm 1.8 G lens has landed , The camera / lens combo is like new , Came fully boxed / all internal packing and with a included 32GB card also a peak design strap , Only 8263 images taken , To say I am well happy is an under statement :):nikon:
For my work I consider the Df the finest digital camera made. Bought mine new in May, 2014, and have no interest in any other. I especially appreciate the bright 100% viewfinder, same as my F, F3, F4 and F5 cameras, which make focus so simple. I sometimes wish it had interchangeable finders and screens, but I do well with the DR5 angle finder and the Brite View B screen. It is definitely the last digital camera for me.

Well after my recent splurge I said that was it.....but I currently have the 42.5 mm F1.7, the 30 mm F2.8 macro (both for my 4/3rds) and the sigma 105 2.8 macro (for the S5) in a basket. I better not open the whisky later lol

I tend to buy stuff early in the morning before I fully wake up!
Always get buyers remorse the next day but soon recover.

Sigma 56mm f/1.4 for MFT on order from e-infinity.
Sigma 40mm f/1.4 Art+ for Nikon arriving today from SRS Microsystems. (Have swapped my Sigma 35mm f/1.4 and Sigma 50mm f/1.4 for it)

I get buyers remorse every time I buy camera gear.
That's the problem with not being a professional.

Right now I am having a few strains if GAS…

Hunting for a variety of SMC Pentax K-mount primes, MF film stuff and some digital stuff that will very likely include another 5D1 and stuff…

Could get nasty…

Well just bought a Hasselblad A12 Back, Boxed as new for an unbelievable price even though I don't need it.:banghead::banghead::banghead:
It arrives tomorrow so I'll know if the old saying is true.

I'll put up some pictures as I have never seen, let alone owned a brand new piece of Hasselblad equipment.
OK, it's just a film back but, £220 for the very latest version is a steal. It's like a barn find.

It would be interesting to date the back, if you can quote the first two letters of the serial number you can work out its age.

Since I am over-served on humble pie and working 35mm film with my K-1000 bodies, a few SMC Pentax-M lenses are on the not-too-distant horizon…

Alrighty then…trigger pulled on this:

I've been buying a few Nikon collectibles lately, but I might have gotten out of control....

The EM looks great.
Never thought I'd find one that has never been used, I had a very nice one many years ago I used for a travel camera, much lighter than my F2, it gave brilliant results, even when using transparency film, sadly it got stolen in Tennessee, I'd left in the rental car, which got stolen from the hotel.

Bummer.

I had the f3 for about a year but at the time it was an expensive business buying lenses.

I moved to canon as the optics, at the time, were more economical.

Well I got a Lumix G X 45-175 mm F4.0 - 5.6 ASPH from John Lewis reduced to £269. Comes with 1 yr Panasonic warranty and 2 yr J. Lewis warranty. It's missing it's lens hood....so figured it was worth a punt as they sell for £399 online new as far as I can see and second hand not much cheaper and less warranty.

*No I don't as the 25mm 1.7 lens hood fits and works perfectly :-)

Just about to pull the trigger on a Hasselblad 503cw body.
Do I really need three Hasselblads?

Picked this up at the Post Office today…U$9.00 L-bracket. The first step towards upgrading my Manfrotto tripod to a more efficient panorama system.
