The GAS confessional - all who suffer are welcome. :)

How is it feeling now, Uncle buck? I am in a strange GAS free state... has nobody succumbed in almost a month?

I've been GAS free a while now, I desire the Pana G9mkii but no pennies for that bad boy.
I've tried one and borrow it occasionally, but haven't felt any temptation yet.
To me, it is one of those that are better to travel in hope than to arrive :)

When they get down to 5-600 used then.................

I don’t think I’ll ever be GAS free ;) Don’t get me wrong I’m more than happy with the gear I have and I don’t need to buy anything else, but I do fancy the A1 Mark II and the 300mm f2.8 ;) I can’t justify the cost though.

Trying not to right now. Got the money in the bank in the anticipation of Fuji releasing the x-e5 this summer.
But keep looking at the x-t50 and thinking surely that will do the same job and only just be a bit bigger.
Going to play with the 50 at the Excel show next month and there have been some good deals coming up recently for the 50

I sold a kidney and bought a Canon EOS 5Dsr, 16-35 2.8 L iii and a 100-400 mk iii

Actually, given it's a digicam, the picture quality is quite good.

I'm sure I don't need to post pictures of it.

That D2H looks superb and I'm well jealous.

Just bought a battered Nikon FM. WHY? It's in working order and I don't mind the ding, but I've already acquired 3 film cameras in the last few weeks and only tested one.

We used to see some well battered Nikon FM s it was a standard second body for the press guys to go with a F3, I'd rather a battered FM than a mint FA.

Got some GAS going on, it will cost me £1200 to swap from the R5 to the R5ii as MPB will give me £1800 for my R5 and EF 24 1.4 L.

Ahhhh good old GAS!
Suffered that a lot back in the day.
Started with a Canon 1000D, tried every brand in-between (except Pentax), tried every sensor size too (except MF) and finished up on a Canon EOS R.

I'd say it was a long way round to figure out I was a Canon shooter but weirdly I'm now back shooting with a Panasonic.

Think I have it out my system now............don't hold your breath though :ROFLMAO:

My recent bout of GAS has all been purchasing old film camera lenses consisting of Canon FD 24mm f/2.8, FD 50mm f/1.8 and a EF 50mm f/1.8 Mk1. Then there's been some new Nikon additions of AF Micro 60mm f/2.8, a AF 50mm f/1.4D and lastly an MD-15 Motor Drive for my Nikon FA. Got my eye on a couple more lenses too. Would love a tilt & shift lens but just need find the right one.

Got GAS for an original Sony A9. Currently trying to decide which internal organs I can live without.

I was on the lookout for a Pentax MX. Checked the local store at least 3 times a day. Lo and behold, out walking the dog this morning and one such camera came and went before I had the chance to purchase. Wonder if the buyer is a member of the forum?

So R5ii…

Body + 24-105 F4 is £3859 via grey market, the same bundle in the UK is £5749, absolute joke that difference is.

I could add two L lenses for the difference!

I think we should have a de-gas confessional. For myself, recently, I can't stop farting.

Just bought a Nikon 180mm f/2.8. I checked the serial number and it was probably made in the last week of production (within the last 50 made). This could be a nice thing, or it could be a rushed job so they could knock off early.

I really must keep off some selling websites. It's happened again..........:snaphappy:D750.jpg

I fight a constant battle to keep my levels up - managing well at the moment!

As for GAS, mine seems to be under control still. Got everything I want and (think I) need at the moment.

Yes! I'm getting twitchy again.

Is there a self-help mutual support group I can join? "Hi, I'm Boots and I'm a camera addict."

No real GAS at the moment, sure it won't last though... I do quite fancy a drone at some point this year but there's no real rush.. have to say, this is quite unusual (and refreshing) for me!

Well I had a Canon 200-800 on free 2 day loan last weekend and so my GAS is now soaring skyward !!

D

1 NOD and NOD 1 are both local reg plates and I've seen them both in the past. Despite the OD being local, I've never owned a NOD!

I've been tempted with this lens for a while now, fancied trying something wider than my 15-35mm.
I spotted it on a website for £1,680 but they had awful reviews so I didn't want to order from them, so I emailed Tina at Panamoz as their price was £1,780, she said they'd let me have it for £1,700 so pulled the trigger :)
